North Stand Expansion | Configuration plans revealed by club (p 1285)

The part that people seem to be missing is that the club will know who they sold it to. It would have had to have been a qualifying Cityzens member meeting whatever criteria they had in place at that time. It would have been very simple for them to tell you in the call that it was sold to such a person and that they clearly had sold it on. They then would have been able to ban that supporter from obtaining further tickets.

The only other possibility is that the club sold it to Live Football Tickets but they couldn't tell you that.

On the balance of probabilities....
Why do they need to tell him who bought his ticket ffs

Who’s said that or posted that?

Most people have genuine questions about ticket distribution and wondering why so many tickets are ending up on ticket sites. Not just accepting things or having questions is pretty normal in the ‘real world’.
You have to admit though it's moan moan moan, god help us if the team were actually shit, people would be jumping of the south stand :)

He gave his ticket back to the club, he then finds out ,it has been sold on the Live football site.
He complained to City, they fobbed him off.
At the very least,City would know, who bought that ticket ,that he had put back on the official exchange and enquire of that person, how it had ended up on Live football.
They're not going to tell someone what happened to the ticket (not his ticket as he's sold it in effect) as that would breach data protection even if the person they were speaking to could access that information. It's possible that they could only see that the ticket had been sold on.

The fact that he got abusive with them on the phone isn't going to help.

They obviously don't need to say 'Ric Turner' bought it but only that the club sold it to a qualifying supporter. If they did and that ticket ended up on LFT then it would be simple for the club to then say they will investigate said supporter. From what the OP posted they were just blustering.

Why should they anyway ?

But why would they, they don't need to, he sold it back to City
