I’m not sure the current freeze on normal season tickets will end anytime soon or ever, especially not with the current directors running the club.
I was under the impression the family stand on NSL1 is no longer in it’s original concept. Yes, there are still lots of families who sit there, but it’s no longer as difficult as it used to be to get a match ticket on NSL1 without an accompanying child. I stand corrected on that. The continual empty seats at midweek games saw to the demise and end of the original family stand concept.
If the Flexi-Gold season ticket suits you along with the upfront cost, rules and regulations about purchasing match tickets in advance, fair enough. But given the choice, I’m sure you’d rather have the opportunity to buy a normal season ticket for yourself and your child/children. The club should give you that opportunity.
What the club have created are to different levels of season ticket holders. Me and others who pay nothing more for our season tickets, bar the actual cost of our season tickets, and fans like yourself and other City fans who have to pay an upfront cost just to secure and to have a season ticket. It isn’t fair. It’s a divide and conquer tactic by the club. Do as we say or you won’t get a (Flexi-Gold) season ticket. Whilst on the other side of the divide, I and other City fans are guaranteed a season ticket without any additional purchase cost, rules, and regulations.
All I’m saying is, you and other City fans shouldn’t have to pay an upfront cost of £150 and £75 for an adult and a child season ticket.(regardless of having the opportunity of spreading that cost out over 10 months) Like me and others, you should be able to buy a season ticket without an upfront cost. I’m on your side, and on the side of all City fans who are being forced by the club to buy Flexi-Gold season tickets because the club isn’t offering regular season tickets anymore, on ‘purpose’, to drive season ticket revenue.
