To see the rules, click on help at the bottom of the page, then click on rules. As for the post you reported, it wasn't made in huge typeface. The tweet he posted was partly in a bold font; his post wasn't.

It is in 315 for Dortmund.

It looked like the first 5 rows which is 126 however there will have been cup schemers there so net 100 tops.

Some could have bought the rows behind to join in off the plan too, but as it is the front rows that sell first anyway in the other blocks it would be impossible to estimate how many.

If the club increase the safe standing seats in NSL2 to 5000 or even 6000, like they have left the door open to do in the most recent update, would this not become a non-issue?

If they do ever increase, it would have to be those middle seats, so one of your (and my) main issues would be gone! If the fan groups come together to press the club on this now, it seems they are open to an increase, we as fans just need to prove it*.




*yes I know it shouldn't take fans to push for this, the club should be taking the initiative themselves, but this is where we're at so we have to deal with it.

I can't see reference to a "higher roof" so not sure why you mention it. It's not higher than the south stand regardless but is vastly (massively, in fact) more suited to retaining the noise and directing it at the pitch. The sides add to this. This should be self evident to anyone.

The "family stand" doesn't seem to really be a thing anymore as time has seen it diluted around the stadium.

The GA seats start from the front of tier 1 (new money), so the same distance as the front of the south stand tier 1.

The designers gave the reason for the two tier, and it was probably designed before fans were spoken too, but it makes the club look good saying it was in response to the fans. You can't do what the club are doing under the stands with 3 tiers, there is more room with 2.

There was a reference to improved acoustics, but a bigger stand with a higher roof than we currently have doesn't improve that.

Having seen every away section with noisy fans from abroad, the noise always starts from the front. The front of NS1 is remaining as the family stand, and so is NSO bar a few rows of padded seats it the back centre.

I don’t disagree with a lot of what you’re saying here JRB. My point about why they brought flexi in though is down to the number or ST holders missing games and leaving their seat empty. I don’t blame the club for wanting to mitigate that although in doing so I agree they’ve also made things more difficult.

Sure. Things can happen. I’d like to think the club make allowances in such circumstances. They say they encourage fans to discuss such situations. I also get there’s an element of “please sir” to all of this which is a place no one ever wanted to get to!

Again, I fully agree your points, I wasn't actually meaning You but reading back You have also been vocal/honest about it.

It's exactly the same as when I got booted out of my seat on level 2.
 
I went to Villa yesterday.

I noticed something interesting that could, could, relate to NSL2 when it opens. I'm not saying it will.

The top tier of the Holte End.

As you all know the Holte End is Villa's vocal home end.

The fans on bottom tier were all standing. No picture.

On the top tier, the fans along the back, and pretty much 'halfway down the tier' were 'mostly standing'. The fans on the sides of the tier were 'mostly seated' from halfway down.

Hopefully you can make that out in the pictures?

Are we going to get the ripple standing effect from the back of the centre seating, in-front of the safe standing seats, further down into the central seating sections? And alongside both side safe standing sections?

Are they not now safe standing positions? Villa have been slowly expanding the SS sections in the Holte End.

@jrb it looks like Holte End has a GA+ section, this must be a trend for football clubs, why can't they make access for all

7. Who are the "rank and file" ? There are many different types of supporters. All follow the team in different ways. The club has to take into account varied aspects in its decision making which extend beyond pressure and self-interest groups.

8. C`mon CITY. Lets have 3 points at Villa this afternoon.

Sheikh Mansour and Khaldoon began caring when they saw 10,000's of empty seats at the start of the 3 matches on live TV, and 10,000's of fans stood on the concourses, chanting and protesting about the match day ticket prices, and the directors not listening to the fans.
If it wasn't for the protests Sheikh Mansour and Khaldoon wouldn't have intervened personally and forced Soriano and the other Directors to reduce the price of match day tickets this season.
