North Stand

The commentators even talked about how quiet it was, its embarrassing, what has happened to our support? Watching the Arsenal game last night and it must be painful for them fans, I barely heard a song the whole match, I dont want to become that!

there seemed to be quite a few empty seats at arsenal last night

football was a working mans game and this is starting to change slowly at clubs mostly and the top clubs and defo the clubs in london

The atmosphere in the north stand is a joke. We moved from there this year after 3 years there. Always told to sit down when an exciting point happened, got into so many arguments with people. They are not proper fans, just bored and come along for the ride. The worst was the derby where swp scored to make ot 4-1, this guy and his mate mid 30's told me to please sit down as they cant see. i lost it and told him " shut up you miserable bastard, if you cant see, then stand up, if you are not prepared to be on your feet when we score 4 against then scum then what is the point in coming" his reply was " i will call a steward over" i still stood with half of the people around me. i just do not get people like that. STAY AY HOME!!!

Thats harsh Rick. Your tarring us with the same brush. We need people like me and few others to get the "quieter" parts of the stadium singing. Absolutely no point me being in 110/11 or sth stand as I can't get the North Stand going from there. By the way, I have been following City for 40 years now.

I sit in 142 and never fail to get behind the team.

I'll wager that the majority of South standers have never stood on the Kippax when it was the largest standing area in the league. I'll also bet most of you have never stood on the terracing at a major Wembley final.

At those games you didn't have to try and generate an atmosphere, it just happened.

Sorry lads and lasses, I praise your efforts but slightly resent your criticism of all the other blues that aren't part of your elite ultra gang.

Just know that no matter what you do, you may never experience a City atmosphere like I have experienced even in the glory days to come.

The club should introduce a few more designated singing areas where the stewarding is relaxed, everyone can stand and those who want to stand, sing and shout can do so.

It would be ideal if two more were introduced either side of the north stand in the corners where no ones view would be obstructed either side of the block. This would give the north stand a chance to join in as they would be able to hear the songs and it would be quite loud.

If they did the above then we would have noise from all four corners of the ground and the atmosphere would never be shit. At the moment if either 110/111 or South Stand start a song of it only reaches block 104 in the east stand or the dugouts in the colin bell stand before it starts to die out giving the north stand no chance of joining in.

I'd move to either 140 or 132 if City did this.

That might dilute the current singing section. More likely, the other singing sections wouldn't have enough singers and would make little noise. At least it could give a few people the chance to do all sorts of crazy shit, you know like stand up for corners and say the odd swear word!?
