Vics were all over the back pages while very little mention of Witton . then Nigel Gleghorn took over at witton which kind of pushed me towards them - even though i would only go and see them a couple of times a season . so at the time Vics were like the big successful club (United) while witton were the struggling little club (City). then to cap it all, about 4/5 years ago Vics linked up with united , letting their reserves play at the new ground , so all the signs had vics and united crests all over them - Now back to present times - the once" mighty" vics are in serious danger thru' bad management , bookkeeping and in my opinion karma (coz of the tie-in with Utd) whilst little old witton are on the up !Ed68 said:I moved to the area over 4 years ago and still trying to decide on a Local team.
Limited knowledge says that Witton are like the rags and Northwich more like City but playing in Stafford means they are no longer local.
All valid points but in my earlier post were I compared witton to united and vics to CITY was on the grounds of vics being the more working class club an witton being more for the upper class. In my school the poor kids went vics an the toffs went to witton and that has always seemed the same for Man City.
