Norwich (a) post-match thread

We shouldn't have to rely on one player in KDB, that team he put out today was good enought to beat most teams in the prem and they should of made a better fist of it
Hopefully just a bad day at the office

Lose by far and away your two best CD’s (admittedly one often injured), and you are going to notice it. I fear our only hope is if the dippers lose VVD for a long period of time and we all know that wont happen, as their luck with injuries is clear to all.
Their luck with injuries to key players is freakish. Redknapp rarely says anything of interest, but tonight he hinted that in his limited mind we have some sort of issue with team spirit, but he also said something like 'take VVD and Salah out of the Liverpool team for any length of time and you have a team struggling to make the top four'.

If you are referring to me, I don't mind losing, What I do mind is if the players who are.paid millions a.year don't put a.fucking shift in
It was one of those days. This team under pep works as hard as everyone. Those players, including stones and otamendi, have broken every record there is in English football. And one bad day and you are all over them. Not fair, not right and not city

When pool benched Firminho for Ox or so and were drawing a game recently, Klopp sharply made a change at half time. In no time it yielded result. Pep can be very obstinate for his own good atimes. He makes it difficult for himself sometimes.

Not seeing the error of his ways was poor. It was obvious the team out there wasn’t going to perform. To not make a change was pisd poor from such a good manager.

not happy with this 'losing" malarkey. Proper ruined the week-end. Almost forgotten what to do. Anyway, northwich 'ad nowt to lose, and 3 goals from 1 chance created is pretty impressive, we only got 2 from 22. Wonder what pep said to our lads before the game, probably on the lines of "right you lot, we've won this already, not arsed about tactics and effort, save yourselves for Wednesday", typical Pep stuff really, dont know what the board see in him tbh, and dont get me started on the backroom staff, more injuries than general custer, we must be the sick-note capital of football.

One question, have you ever played football?

Stones and Tarka the Ota gave me Brian Gayle and Alan Kernaghan flashbacks today. With a Brazilian Officer Dibble in goal.

No getting away from it, it was a horrendous performance and hugely disappointing result. Don’t think there will be a lot of margin for error again this season, so just got to hope it was a one-off. Fuck all we can do about it now so not going to dwell on it, on to the next game. Hopefully it’ll serve as a kick up the arse and encourage Guardiola to give the likes of Foden and Cancelo a game on Wednesday night.

16 corners. 25 attempts on goal 65 %possession.
Nothing to do with lack of effort. Bad day at the office. Do you think.we should win.every game we play ?
You have just answered.your own question, 16 corners 0 goals, 25 attempts on goal 2.goals, we were piss fucking poor, if you want to sugar coat it to make you feel better carry on, and those shots on goal were piss poor, there keeper probably made 1 decent save all game

Hopefully Harwood-Bellis or Garcia will get a place midweek. Either of them left footed?

I give up. You clearly know more than pep. Stones and otamendi are shite and aren't fit to wear the shirt. And losing a football game is the end of the world, I'll probably look for another team tomorrow
It isn't the end of the world, and pep does.know but had no choice, do you think when laporte was fit pep left stones on the bench for a.laugh

I'm confused who's the problem? Otamendi or stones? And what's the solution. Sell them.both? Buy Maguire? Or maybe get rid of Sergio because he.mised two good chances that would.have affected the result. Or maybe accept that sometimes results dont go.the way you want because theres two teams in a game,.and that doesnt mean all our players.are.shit

Thought you give up? Obviously not, the whole 11 were.the problem today, no one turned up,both centre halves are not good enough, is that ok for you

Eddie couldn't do anything about any of the goals

Walker at fault for the first, playing everyone on side and also had a very mediocre game

Stones did ok I thought

Otta was shocking. Those two errors in less than 60 seconds! The hugely underhit pass that put Stones in trouble, then a poor touch whilst he was wondering what was for tea

Zinchenko had more of the ball than anyone else on the pitch and generally in miles of space, but did nothing of note. I think Norwich were happy to let him have the ball

Gundogan, invisible

David Silva, very average

Bernardo, same as Dave

Rodri did ok

Sterling, wasteful and poor decision making

Sergio scored a good goal and made a mess of a great heading opportunity. He was much too careful with that last chance when he pretty much backpassed his shot

Mahrez and Jesus never got into the game

And why do you keep saying buy Maguire? Never once mentioned him and for the record I think he is shit

Had a quick look through the thread and as expected there some serious over reaction and shit written.

Yes this was a bit of a nightmare because we conceded three poor goals in the main ways that City concede poor goals but it's a long time since that happened. If we cannot look back on this as another freak result, we have got serious problems but let's see what the next few games bring: they will come thick and fast.

I'm sure they work on it in training but they have to do better at attacking near post corners when they are defending.

Being more clinical upfront would help and has been my biggest bugbear with the team for years. Three powder puff shots in the dying minutes of the game was very frustrating.

I would have liked to see Pep start KDB but his absence did cause the team to concede three awful goals. The good news is they can learn from the errors and do work on the training ground to improve the chances of not conceding like that again.
