Norwich City (A) - Post-Match Thread

City now have more points AWAY FROM HOME than anyone else has AT HOME this season!

And, that stretches to something like the last 24(?) away games!

City are breaking records I never knew existed or were “a thing!”

Best Goals FOR
Least Goals AGAINST
Most possession by a country mile…

…yet pundits still trying to tell the world “City can be got at. Not airtight at the back!”

Compare that to what people have had to say about Chelsea’s defence for most of the year!!!

Imagine how much better we could be though, if we had ‘the best keeper in the world’, ‘the best centre half in the world’ and ‘the best right back in the world’? We could have a defence like Liverpool’s…….

He’s on here isn’t he?

I'm Pep Guardiola...

Got home from a 15+ hour day, turned the game on around midnight (because I didn’t want to even try to sleep without watching it and knowing the result) and was ABSOLUTELY FLOORED by the 90 minutes of raucous support!

Even the wank commentators made mention, which is a huge change.

I doff my cap to each and every supporter who spent their hard-earned money and valuable time out of their weekend to travel to Norwich and back!

You were a credit to yourselves and the club, and you know when the TV Director is telling his camera operators to turn them onto the crowd for singing, it something special!

All the old favorites came out and were sung loud and proud, none more so than Yaya-Kolo and Yaya’s version of Delilah!

If I could make one (minor) point, though:

There some superstars in our team who barely have their name sung, let alone have a sustainable chant. Long past time some of them had more impactful songs, rather than some name chant.

However, NOTHING can take away from the ridiculously brilliant vocal support from those who traveled and it was noticed by all.

Take a bow!
Agree with this about the players without songs, was very pleased to hear a nice simple “riyad riyad” shout, they don’t all have to be sonnets and Pulitzer winners

We sounded fantastic. Loved the homage paid to our past players in that second half. We must never forget those wonderful players that helped lay the foundations to where we are today. It basically sounded like a party in the stands, congrats to all those that went yesterday and hope you had a great time.
We once had a fifteen minute rendition of "Pardoe, Pardoe he's off to Mexico" at the Riverside. about 25 years after Glyn had his career ended by a liver-wasting, wife-beating drunk.

Bloody long day that for us older generation.
Was pleasantly surprised how many under 25 were in the ground which greatly helped the atmosphere.
I think at the end the players/Pep were impressed with the backing.
Too right. I was done for by 9.30. Instead of a curry I ended up watching MOTD in bed! Cracking weekend
