Norwich post match thread

YaYa MOTM today for me.
Cool as fcuk as skipper today
I'm sure not many on here will agree but who gives a fcuk, yayayayaya oh yayay
+1
Shirley, it seems you might be one of the few ones that actually see Yaya's work for the team... when he shows emotions he is a cry baby; when he is mute he is disinterested... the man will never win... s

The whole team played at far too slow a pace today and it almost cost us, with a massive helping hand from Joe. Norwich sat back off us and asked us to set the tempo and we just failed to do it. Luckily we defended well and Otamendi dug us out with a great header, before a mental last few minutes, but we cannot afford to play at that sort of pace if we want to win the league.

Well that was turning out to be a depressing day. Then 89 minutes Yaya hits the winner and 90 mins Wigan score
to net me £225. Happy days.

He's got a point though Jim.
Yet he contributed to the very thread he was slagging off. As someone else said in reply to him, how many old fashioned talking points were there in the Palace game? Relatively few compared to today. Bony, Kel's first start, Otamendi's masterclass, Hart's clanger, Kolarov acting the **** with the penalty, Yaya throwing his toys out of the pram; need I go on? And anyway; City fans have always liked to have a good whinge; it's cathartic!

What's up?

The win and 3 points ruin your rant at the gaffer routine again?
What are you talking about? Do you want to ignore the poor points because we managed to scrape a win? Thank fuck the coaches don't see it that way. The fact of the matter is we got the three points, but there is a lot to be done.

Maybe b
Yaya beyond reproach for me today, as for AK..........arrogant twat

Maybe but I liked he ran to Joe and hugged him when we scored the penalty. That was a class thing to do. Maybe the penalty taking is pre planned by the manager and he was being professional. In the end it mattered not that he missed it.

I almost got a Hart attack...so close...

De bruynes only positive effort was that corner . He needed a rest.
Don t moan for Bony now. We sign him a year ago.You re out of time. Now he deservers our support coz he s the only one we ve got.
And finally
Thank God we re doing great with the set pieces .Last whole year we scored less i think than we did so far this year. Another reason that we are on the top of the league

I felt it was harsh on Mangala to effectively be confirmed as Pellegrini's 3rd choice centre back over the last 3 games, but Otamendi's performance today has shown that whilst it is hard on Mangala, it's the right call. What a beast!

Not for the result, but it mattered for goal difference.

Otamendi and Kompany look a very formidable partnership. Would have been another clean sheet but for Joe's woeful cock up.

Thought Fernando did well when he came on.

Though we looked slow and outright knackered I thought we controlled that game and deserved to win.

BUT

That last 10 is some of the worst football we've played. From Hart, To Kolarov being a twat and snatching the ball for a shit penalty.

Still, win's a win's a win. Now I'm off to take a double dose of propranolol until my heart calms down.

Fernando's clearance after sprinting towards the end was massive, the other player is in acres of space and many yellow shirts in the middle. If he hadnt cleared it, we were in a bit of bother.

Fair play to Norwich today. They kept their shape and discipline, and we interpreted their lack of pressing and harrying as reason to slow the pace of the game; very little one-touch passing anywhere on the pitch, which is always a concern.

Again our profligacy in front of goal means we make hard work of workmanlike teams, and we just don't seem to be able to convert the first chance that falls our way.

stop beeing so miserable. have a look at the table. if that can't make you smile then i dont know what will
I am happy with the position and how our season is going however if you haven't noticed, this is the post-match thread - the thread where we discuss various talking points from the game.

Anyone would think we got our third 0-0 in a row today. Wasnt great, got 3 points, stuff of champions.

The fucking rags and Jose would kill for our result today. Some need to give their fannies a wipe.

All the people talking about Nacho Nacho Nacho. He did NOTHING before he was subbed, and despite the awful mistakes Bony did at the end of the game he played better than Kelechi in the first time. It was the right sub, which doesn't mean I want Kun back as soon as possible...

Nonsense. Kelechi needs a better partner up top.

Was going to end with that caveat but couldn't be bothered and yes you're right and I said as much in the car on the way home! There's no saying Stirling would have scored though. Good job Yaya is cool as you like from the spot!
