Forums, especially post result, give everyone the chance to let off steam, celebrate, commiserate, annihilate. Be fickle, irrationally blame or lambast. It’s part of the fun.
Imagine reading some of this stuff back in a few months. Was it a bad transfer policy or was it a bad transfer window? Were we protecting the club if we’re at the mercy of others with the charges? Or was it players wouldn’t commit? Or was it Pep wouldn’t and we weren’t going to sign players another manager might not want? Was Haaland being jokey with Salah or was he accepting he’d been outdone - he was in his face for the whole time he prepped for the pen ( sometimes a ‘fair fucks’ smile feels ok to me) Oscar Bobb has become a missing key link despite never being near the team, while Lewis has had such a long run of games he’s virtually played himself out of the team. KDB is leaving, or his injury is career over or he’s playing mind games for a contract and Pep is mad for leaving out Doku who many didn't want in the team months ago in front of Jack, who many wanted out but now can’t believe isn’t in. A month ago the debate was Gvardiol would be wasted at centre half and is key to our shape at left back but now should immediately be played in the position we bought him for. Which really means the position he played in, given Pep always saw him as LB.
Hindsight is always right. That’s why no matter what happens amidst the offloads we do as fans, what we’ve achieved since 2010/11 is without debate. Just factually record breaking and I suspect a lot more’s to come. It’s great to be blue.
