Not that...

Pointless getting worked up for a situation you have no control over.
Exactly, I am angry for half an hour after the game then over it much like when I played sport myself. My missus said I’m a terrible loser but get off the pitch and in the bar and it’s on to the next game and I’m my normal affable self :-)

I thought this season would be a big ask. The team has been neglected over the last 2 or 3 years.

I'm more arsed about the drop off this season. We are shot to pieces.

In the games we have won we haven't been that convincing either.

Some of the players don't look arsed either.

Yes we can harp on about the Alan Ball and Sruart Pearce days, but City are a different animal nowadays. One that we have got accustomed to success.

Some fans saying they aren't arsed if we don't qualify for the champs league either is a bit shitty to be honest.

Our business model now is built around being successful ON and OFF the pitch. And competing in the champions league must be one of the minimum aims at the start of the season from the men upstairs.

I fully expect some backlash, but honestly I’m not.

Sounds a bit protesting too much, but again I’m not.

Todays loss was expected, not title gone as I thought for awhile we where not at it.

Whether it’s the success of previous seasons or the acceptance that this is just not our year.

Whether it’s the mental exhaustion of the 115 and if that goes this season, I’d be happy with that.

If we get a 20 point deduction and we’re 15 points of the top, in a weird way I would find it quite funny it’s not cost us a title (other issues I know).

Maybe I just believe the team needs a refresh and this is inevitable.

Whatever it is, I’m annoyingly ok with it.
You should be arsed, I have no issue with not winning any titles this year but I am arsed that the club has been very complacent, our execs are highly paid to make the correct decisions etc.

They have quite rightly been lauded for what they have achieved but at the same time they have made some hugly bad calls in the last few windows and it's come back to hit us hard.

The last two summer transfer windows have been appaling, bad calls and for that matter no calls.

We have been far too loyal to certain players and it has cost us, hopefully a temporary blip but unless we get back on track quickly those loyalty calls will have proved to be our downfall.

Football goes in cycles but also football has changed beyond recognition and the elite clubs have enormous wealth and power, the last couple of years we seem to have been reluctant to use that power.

I hope that it is not as a result of the 115 case and if it is the execs acknowledge we have been too worried about how he are proceeded in football and not that our 'irrefutable evidence" may not be the case.

When you’ve been on the City journey over many years, as so many on here have, you appreciate how privileged we've been.

Since HH Sheikh Mansour invested we have witnessed an almost unbelievable transformation of our club.

We've seen players & things we never thought we'd see, places we never thought we'd go and trophies we never, ever thought we'd win.

To list all our remarkable achievements would take too long which is testament in itself to our sustained period of supremacy.

During parts of that period losing and sometimes drawing were traumatic for me,taking days to get over.

This current peroid feels different.

We are experiencing a perfect storm, elite players will leave as a neccessary and predictable rebuild takes place.

And as a consequence, i've accepted a period of change that i thought would've been beyond me.

I dont like losing to the dippers or spuds of course, but having watched us lose to Swindon,Wycombe Halifax,Shrewsbury, Linclon York and others, context is important.

Our club is in the hands of superb owners and executives who have foresight, experise, professionalism and long term ambition.

It angers me to read so many disrespectful posts on here from so called 'fans' traducing the recent performances of the team, individuals and Pep.

Its utterly disgraceful and reflects so badly on the rest of us, it also plays right into the hands of rags, dippers & the media who are predictably mocking us as turncoats and jcls !!

Objective and constructive critism is acceptable and understandable but.....
he's shit,
wanker,
unfit to wear the shirt,
never play again.....
is unacceptable and smacks of entitlement, ignorance and raggishness.

Support the team or say nowt.

I’m arsed, but not as arsed, if you know what I mean.
I'm with you on that one.
The year after we won it in 2012 that really hurt as I thought we'd dominated but we was awful and defeats that season hurt like fuck.
Yes this season still stings a bit but I'm a realist and nothing lasts forever.
I've seen us win the fuckin lot so this season of maybe not winning anything and regrouping for next season is cool with me.

I’ll be arsed when it’s 8 Years of mediocrity not 8 games. The Greatest team of the last 10 years needs a rebuild so what? It was always gonna happen. The powers that be can see the same thing we see and as a result will no doubt try and rectify it as soon as possible. We are by no means the worst off as some other fans and nearly all would swap places. I’m grateful for that. I also enjoy the jeapody in our games now and I’m excited to see how we overcome this. I also wouldn’t mind a run in the europa league, just because we’ve never been heavily involved in that tournament and it would be nice to win something we haven’t previously. All great sides come to end. I’m excited to see the rebuild of the next.

perfectly put.

People losing Their shit over 8 games! Of sub standard performances really need to get some perspective.

With a better window last season we could have won the treble again. We should have beaten Real and with a couple of more options would have. And the less said about the FA Cup final the better.

We then followed it up with a poor summer and it's no shock really Walker and De Bruyne remain sidelined and other injuries have occured. This squad have done so much and time has caught up with them.

But equally our board have delivered over a sustained period. A longer period than any other side in English football can match. So they are allowed to make some mistakes. Clearly the value wasn't there in the market and now they've been shown they should have spent the money where it was needed.

But let's see what happens in the January and summer windows. If they don't act again we can stick the knife in, for now they get a pass from me for what they've delivered up to this point.

We will be back, and the team to beat once again I am sure. For now, I will support the team and see what they can achieve this season knowing it's been much worse than this before and that we are still blessed with an excellent squad, the best manager and a brilliant boardroom.

I think my reaction was more into the gloating of other fans, but also the trust I have in our execs.

Whilst I agree we could have spent better and your not without a point.

The fact we are not challenging this year I’m ok with.

Don’t get me wrong I want to see us win again, but I don’t feel we have a define right to success.

My main issue is more on who wins when we don’t, as I can’t see a good option.

On a side note, Liverpool fans don’t quite know how to square the circle on Klopp. I keep saying it’s pretty evident now he was holding some of those players back.

While I acknowledge the points you make, I'm baffled by the thread title. What is 'Not that...' supposed to mean. Sorry but you've brought out the pedant in me.
; )

I think Klopp and that Dipper dressing room love affair was over and he knew it.

Sadly Slott has come in and quietly done a fine job so far under huge pressure.

No club has any divine right to win trophies but we are to blame for a lot of this huge drop off, very much self inflicted for me.
