Nottingham Forest (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Made hard work of that especially in the first half. We’re a bit lucky Forest don’t have anyone clinical up front. Good to see Erling come on to do what he does best. Ake was excellent as was Gvardiol but quite a few others weren’t at their best but did just enough. 3 points is all that matters because I can’t see us closing the 7 goal GD gap with Arsenal if we drop points.

I'm sorry I can't do the usual after match thanks and telling off for the other team, the media and the officials.

The reason I was late with my Match Day thread posting was because just after I posted the pre-match one I had a phone call to tell me that a friend of mine, who I've known for over 75 years and was like an extra brother, had died. He was part of our family, as I say an extra brother. Came to all our parties, weddings, birthdays, funerals, everything and as it is the second death of someone close to me in the last four days, my cousin who was 1 year younger than me died on Thursday, it has knocked me for six.

Sorry. I am of course absolutely pleased about City winning today but I am also gutted and am now going to sit down and get out the photos and memories of our times together.

So sorry for your double loss Eccles. One is bad enough but 2 is awful. Keep that chin up and always remember the good times, it's what they would want you to do. CTWD
 
Lot of glossing over in the thread due to the result.

That was our worst performance of the season for me.

Very, very lucky to get anything out of it and didn’t look anything like a team who wins the league.

Need to sort their heads out and turn up properly for the final 4 games.

The rest this week will hopefully help. Been a mad schedule. We certainly didn’t play well today.

We've now a week to recover which is amazing for us because it's such a long time we've had this luxury.

KDB won us the game today, His delivery for Gvardiol and pass to Haaland was the key for us today.

Another game chalked off and move on to the next game.

Sad gooner on 606 wondering why it’s taking so long to ‘charge‘ us for the 115.
Then says that that’s not how he wants to win the title.
