A mid-week night match in December with filthy weather, what do the PL expect. Get back to playing at 3pm on a Saturday. Not going to happen because we the match going fans just don’t count these days.

Not when we keep losing players to injury, we just can’t get our best XI on the pitch.

Missing last night - Rodri, Kovacic, Foden, Bobb, Stones
And getting injured - Akanji, Ake and possibly De Bruyne.

Thankfully Forest missed chances that other teams have been taking and Ortega made a couple of really good saves. We are still very fragile at defending.

Also I thought Haaland was poor very little movement from him in the box.

Much appreciated - the sarcasm - but, no; it isn't enough. I want more for the amount of times he gets passed his man, with his world class dribbling skills.

My mum used to tell me, "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything." I make an exception for sarcastic twats though - so, do - pray tell - how you came up with "prey tell" ? Here, for your education, make a note:-

Well i just got back from holiday yesterday and quite clearly cant leave you lot alone for 5 minutes can i, still plenty to work on but looked more purposeful last night than we have of late, would still like to see haaland attack the ball more but was nice to see him drop in to help out and look more interested than he has recently, as alot of said jack should be in midfiueld and should always have been in midfield and same goes for bernie the fact they can interchange gives us something different, gvardiol needs to work on his finishing lol.

Absolutely this. No nunes and no Lewis in midfield made a huge difference to our quality, movement and the pace we played at. There was clearly more trust.
 
Obviously much better, but still a bit flaky in defence. Forest let us off the hook there. A touch of class in the middle from Kev and Grealish made all the difference: we were more creative and some who have been in poorish form were lifted, esp. Doku and Bernado.
Well done the boys in blue.
PS. Quote from Kev. “There has been no problem….Pep knows I have been struggling.” In other words, he was right to limit my minutes.

Actually been thinking about it a long time so Pep does it when I'm over for the game last night and boy did it pay off
Need to cut out these silly mistakes, get a couple of reinforcements in new year and hopefully all will be fine
 
Pep using Rico how he should be used as a squad player only. Much better balance to the midfield last night. Who had a word with Bernie :) Jack brought such calm to the midfield. No silly balls and risky passes, but drove us up field at the right time. Pep also deserves credit for rethinking the lineup.

This is the perfect storm of Pep’s small squad, aging players & several years of heavy seasons, & international competitions.
Should’ve addressed the Rodri issue in the summer.
I thought Haaland was ok, was unlucky not to score, & his movement opened up the space for Doku’s goal, but he was admittedly well marshalled for most of the game
