Thought we played well last night, controlled the game well bar a couple of mistakes that led to them breaking. Gutted about Ake, he is our best option in defence with Dias. Akanji looked off the pace and struggling.
Like I said, it stops the poor run of form, that’s my joy in the moment.Find joy in the moment. Tomorrow you can send out the negative waves if you must.
Tbh, I always thought that this is the position we bought him for, but you expect pep to know best and he did give us more control and clogged up our left for attacking teams, like Madrid. When we signed Jack, my Villa supporting nephew asked why we had bought him and I said to play in the middle. I've looked a right arse until last night! No 10 is his natural position.

That maybe the case, but do you honestly think that was the performance of a team capable of putting on a long enough winning streak to overcome what was an 11-point gap? We have quite a few (24) games to go and we have a history of overcoming gaps but never 11 points even when we were much better. Injuries have wrecked what was looking like another title and to lose to what isn’t even a particularly good Liverpool team is galling. They did beat Liverpool away so they're definitely a team that can cause problems to anyone.
The important thing is to fight for it until it's mathematically impossible. You never know how other teams will handle the pressure and we have to be there to capitalise if they drop even a sliver of momentum.
I actually saw signs of it throughout the game Forrest have had a pretty mean offence and Wood has been banging them in on a regular basis, of course there are a few rough edges to smooth off and few tactical tweeks here and there but we played really well against a good teamThat maybe the case, but do you honestly think that was the performance of a team capable of putting on a long enough winning streak to overcome what was an 11-point gap? Sadly it won't with the Ake and Akanji injuries. But.....nice to get back to winning ways, there seemed much more movement last night and good performances from De Bruyne, Grealish and Doku. Onwards....same team needs to start at thet weekend.
I thought our second half was better, however they had 8 chances with 2 on target in the first 45 minutes, those were the moments we have been losing games but we didn’t here, we rode our luck at times.I actually saw signs of it throughout the game Forrest have had a pretty mean offence and Wood has been banging them in on a regular basis, of course there are a few rough edges to smooth off and few tactical tweeks here and there but we played really well against a good team
In every game teams will get chances Forrest beat Liverpool at Anfield they are no mugs I believe Jak playing in the middle made a huge differenceI thought our second half was better, however they had 8 chances with 2 on target in the first 45 minutes, those were the moments we have been losing games but we didn’t here, we rode our luck at times.
There is such a thing as too many good chances. In every game teams will get chances Forrest beat Liverpool at Anfield they are no mugs I believe Jak playing in the middle made a huge difference
Yeah it was. Apologies to Gundog, and Josko, you were twice as shocking as I thought. Dya think GM Plod will be knocking on the door 'cos I can't distinguish a German from a Croat as they all look the same from a hundred yards away?Though it was Gvardiol who missed the header, shocking miss though.
Yes - they should have 2 but they were the only real chances they had. But if we’re including chances, Gvardiol should have scored 2 for us & Erl should have had oneBest team performance of the season, if we are nitpicking there were times we were lucky Forest lacked accuracy, but the boys played out of their skins from the whistle and our support was very good. CTID.
