This is the best side pep’s ever had.

The defence is so good, Ederson is in the form of his life by a distance, Haaland is a cheat code, Foden is on his way to that level and the new players are all fitting in fantastically.

We would have won that game with 8 men. Pep loved it, haven’t seen him that animated for a long time.

What was going on on the pitch? It is very odd for our team to lose their calm.

We got fuck all protection from nasty little tackles all game and their lot knew every scrap they caused would mean our players were booked.

Won ugly, and lads did a great job defensively. Rodri was completely idiotic and could have quite easily cost the team. Will be a huge miss for Arsenal

Stupid decision by Rodri aside, we managed to win even though we were playing against both cloggers and corrupt officials.

The league must be thinking “what do we have to do?”

I wasn’t enamoured by their roughhousing but they showed sufficient organisation and nous to suggest they’ll be darkening our door again next season.

In a perverse way I enjoyed that more than a jeopardy free 3 or 4 nil stroll. Maybe our game management could have been better but was a proper work-out for the defence. Ake and Gvardiol excellent in the second half. Great save when it matters from Ederson.

I think that is arguably the best win so far, to play half the game with ten men and still not concede. I wasn’t there so I don’t know whether Rodri’s red card was warranted or not, but City did well to keep a clean sheet.

Agreed, amazing that we kept a clean sheet and we were very resolute. Good practice for us and nice to see we can win ugly. Mind you Forest were abysmal.
