Nottingham Forest (N) | FA Cup | Post Match Thread

I'm still utterly amazed that the ball was heading into a net, clearly deflected off his hand so as to not go in but was counted as not handball because it was behind his back!!!!

Seriously what the fuck!

So if a player is running or jumping.....i can't even come up with a decent analogy because it's just obviously a handball.

You just can't beat that feeling of knowing you're in the FA Cup final. It is one of the best feelings. The build up, the day before, on the actual day, the weeks building up to it.
When other teams are in it and we're not im jealous, I love the fa cup. Traditional competition, was always the big finale at the end of the season, cannot wait.

As you mention jumping. The treble season. Grealish jumped.
I'll let you do your analogy now.
If I was doing it I say, how the fuck could they give that against Jack but not today.

Not quite a false 9 but fluid movement up front= much more Peps style...i know everyone moans but we look better without Haaland tbh
I suggest you look at a replay of some the closing games of the treble season.

Against Real, Bayern and Arsenal, we were way above anything recently and there was definitely a tall blond Scandinavian up front who wasn't called Rasmus.

Haaland doesn't make us play well, but when we play well he improves us. His goals can also rescue a poor performance.

Superb performance from a much changed team. Lost a bit of control in the second half and when Forest started going for it and pressing more the same stupid mistakes cropped back into our game and we have the ball away and put ourselves in trouble. Fortunately they couldn't score for shit!

Having said that we were wasteful in front of goal too in the second half, trying to walk it in at times.

Overall a very good performance and even more so when the likes of Ederson, De Bruyne, Stones, Haaland, Akanji, Ake, Rodri all missed it for one reason or another.

I see the narrative in the media is we were lucky but they don’t seem to remember the 3 good chances we had.

Totally agree with the icing on the cake...he is also the best 1 v 1 finisher i think in prem. But as a team we score the same about of goals ..all. chipping in.. as we do woth big Erl....we score the same wothout erl and look a better team!
