Sunderland fan here.
Great to see lots of positive comments about us .
Been to Maine Road a few times and Eastlands just he once.
To continue the love in, always found you lot more user friendly than the red bit of Manchester.
I am under no illusions as to how strong your team is mind....

Thanks for knocking the scum out, meaning it will now be a nice day out and I will be able to take my 5 & 7 year old boys and let them mix with decent fans and enjoy the day

Couldn't agree more... Along with other thoughts that ran through my head as Stan and the rabble thought they were playing rugby (-: was how nice it will be for the fans to mix at Wembley, they truly were vermin filth last time. Hope your boys have a great day

I'm delighted we're playing you, I'm early 50;s and have worked and lived in many parts of the country (and in europe), and where ever I've been I've met Sunderland fans, and to a man or woman, I've never met a bad one, similarly I've never had a bad visit to either roker or the sol. It will be a friendly, colourful final, and no matter who wins it, we'll all get on well, football will be the winner, and its how football should be, I'm really looking forward to it.

I echo that completely.

Same as the other Mackem that just posted on here, really glad to see all the positive comments about us.

Can't wait to visit the new wembley as I vowed never to go unless Sunderland made it there. (Still can't believe we done it)

Looking forward to a nice relaxed day mixing with your lot in the capital. Well with us been the underdogs we can only give it a good go, just hope you don't put a shed load past us. :-)

Oh as a few have already said city don't like playing Sunderland away ;-) Ha'way the lads.

good job we are at home then :)

have a great day mate, let the best (on the day) team win.

Very pleased Sunderland are in the final. Know a lot of Mackems and hoping to share a few beers with em. Always look after us at SOL

This may sound odd but im not that arsed if we win or lose now. If we win then great if we lose then at least you know some real football fans are going to be very happy. Not playing Utd turns it into a party. Looking forward to this more than any of our recent appearances. Like with Stoke and Wigan I hope we show humility in victory or grace in defeat. You didn't see that against Utd or Chelsea.
I hope our fans never forget where we've come from.

I agree. If Sunderland beat us then they will have deserved it.
Only thing though though it's the first leg of the quadruple. We have no chance but till barca away is done with its on and with every win we rack up the rags will shit it.

Same as

Delighted Sunderland made it and have not stopped laughing at United fans since Wednesday. A little bit of me wanted to play them and stuff them but I can go and really enjoy the day now, and if Sunderland win, I will be the first to congratulate them as I did with Wigan fans. My young son really wanted Sunderland as he was there in 2011 when the United fans were just pure scumbags and he too has had lots of fun at school!

Stopping over in Kensington and booked into an Italian on Old Crompton Road Saturday night, can't wait now!
