Didn't think much of the green man when I went, although it seems to get well hyped up on here. Much prefer the pubs on wembley high road, especially after the game. Been in some legendary celebrations in JJ Moons.

You are not the only one. We went against Chelsea to see what the fuss was about. Lasted an hour then fucked it off for cans outside the Greyhound

That's the one I went in it for. Had 20 minutes fun watching everyone skid in the mud on the way to the bog then fucked off.

Unlike most, I'm not much of a pub man (only have a drink once in a blue moon); for what's it worth, I preferred JJ Moons. However, the Green Man was quite entertaining before the Stoke final. Also I bumped into someone that I had been trying to track down for years: my best friend from junior shcool, who I used to go to lots of games. We took the meeting a good omen for the game :).

Where I park is within 100 yards of the Green Man so will probably pay a visit there.

Very pleased Sunderland are in the final. Know a lot of Mackems and hoping to share a few beers with em. Always look after us at SOL

This may sound odd but im not that arsed if we win or lose now. If we win then great if we lose then at least you know some real football fans are going to be very happy. Not playing Utd turns it into a party. Looking forward to this more than any of our recent appearances. Like with Stoke and Wigan I hope we show humility in victory or grace in defeat. You didn't see that against Utd or Chelsea.
I hope our fans never forget where we've come from.

Not strange at all. Hence "Now we can have a day out." Meanwhile endless replays of the comedy routine behind those rag penalties. Priceless.

PS The Green Man is a dump, Wemberlee is a dump area, but Wemberlee is Wemberlee and we're the famous Man City and .............. Can't help thinking what the German visitors thought of it all for the Champions League Final. I hope Lisbon has some class about it.

Went to the Europa game a couple of seasons back and I thought Lisbon was a shithole.

I concur, although I did think being offered sunglasses and cocaine in the same sentence was a nice touch.

I met a few the day after (Dortmund and Bayern).

They loved it.

Sunderland fan here.
Great to see lots of positive comments about us .
Been to Maine Road a few times and Eastlands just he once.
To continue the love in, always found you lot more user friendly than the red bit of Manchester.
I am under no illusions as to how strong your team is mind....

Thanks for knocking the scum out, meaning it will now be a nice day out and I will be able to take my 5 & 7 year old boys and let them mix with decent fans and enjoy the day

Ditto, but I just wished Sunderland had not put me through the ringer and won it before penalties! I was in two minds about taking my kids if United won but have no hesitation now and can get really excited about it, not saying I wont be upset if we lose but can bear it more than losing to the chosen one!
Sunderland fans are good guys and they deserve to be there as much as us, cant wait....

Same as the other Mackem that just posted on here, really glad to see all the positive comments about us.

Can't wait to visit the new wembley as I vowed never to go unless Sunderland made it there. (Still can't believe we done it)

Looking forward to a nice relaxed day mixing with your lot in the capital. Well with us been the underdogs we can only give it a good go, just hope you don't put a shed load past us. :-)

Oh as a few have already said city don't like playing Sunderland away ;-) Ha'way the lads.

Lets hope we are classed as the home team at Wembley then, may give us more hope!

Really looking forward to it now, booked hotel and parking after 1st leg and was desperately wanting Sunderland to win, don't normally watch Rag games but watched every minute and was more on edge than watching our games!

Yet another Mackem here. Chuffed to bits we got past ManU, I never thought I'd get to Wembley with my team again!

I'm over the (blue?) moon we'll be sharing the day with your supporters. I've always felt there was a similarity between City and Sunderland, we've both had too many years of earache from our respective noisy neighbours and their constant boasting and bragging, as if they have some God given right to superiority and success. I don't think either of them know the word 'humility'.

It's good to read your comments about our supporters, of course every club has it's share of idiots but on the whole I think we're a decent lot who like nothing more than a bit friendly banter with opposition fans. I'd love to see us win the cup, I'd be lying if I said anything else and God alone knows when we'll get another chance to enjoy something like this. My friend and I are bringing her 9 and 13 year old grandsons with us and they're so excited, the 13yr old cried for hours after the semi, he couldn't believe he would get to follow his team to Wembley.

I'm hoping for a safe, enjoyable day for all of us. It's a great opportunity to show everyone that 2 sets of supporters can get along and just because we're attending a football match we're not automatically a bunch of hooligans or a danger to the general public.

Enjoy your day, all of you. See you at Wembley!!

Hello all new member on here, quite happy we've got you lads in the final (although I would of preferred West Ham!) got lots of respect for your fans as our clubs weren't to far apart before the Arabs came along, should be a cracking atmosphere in London that weekend by two great sets of fans, reading the rest of this thread makes me proud to support Sunderland. Just a quick question, would a lot of your fans not have taken their families to the game if you's were playing United? I know they have some horrible fans but I don't think I couldn't not take my lad to Wembley no matter who we were playing. What was it United fans have done in other occasions at Wembley? All the best for what should be a great weekend (apart from the result for you lads!)
