NY Eve - Plans?

I've got me and my 2 kids, so it's a quiet one for me. Perhaps a meal in the local, see our friends who also have kids but then back home. I'm trying to blag them that it's a normal night so I can go to bed before the 12 oclock wank fest begins. I may use a shot of whisky in their drinks to achieve that goal.
I really, really hate NY Eve. :-)

The problem with going to bed before midnight is the modern day fashion for setting off fireworks at 12

Not sure what we'll be doing yet but it will be something in Newcastle with a dozen or so other blues, then tootling over to Sunderland the next day for the game ...

15 of us in a box at the O2 Arena to see Kasabian. I never usually make a big thing out of NYE because it's overpriced and usually half empty but I'm making an exception to see one of my favorite bands for the first time.

I went to see Kasabian a few weeks back at the MEN, they were quality.

Had my fill of going out on NYE, having the usual drunken hugfest with anyone and everyone, then end up in an emotional heap thinking about people that have passed....hate it, not for me ta..

Going into Manchester early doors staying in until about 8pm then heading back to my friends house to continue the festivities!

I also try to avoid walking through town the day after. Blood splatters on the streets, puke and some people still trying to get home in-between bouts of uncontrollable sobbing.

The bus stop outside Piccadilly 21s used to be prime spot for it - always a fight going on after about 11pm.

Same routine as always, love it.

Town and stay over in hotel.

Out at 7, few pubs, then something to eat, then onto 42's from 10-4am! £5 a ticket, cheap drinks, amazing music! awesome.

Going skiing. Flying out at 7am on 31st. Booked a table in a club for NYE. All food and drinks included.

Going for an Indian meal and a few drinks.

Then off to Sunderland on the Sunday with 4 other blokes in the car - I'll be stinkin em all out with onion bhaji farts.
