Need some idea's about getting to Heaton Park, I live in Failsworth, so what do you suggest is the easiest way of getting there?
get to town for a few beers and then just jump on a tram or one of the shuttle buses they are putting on. me and 3/4 others in sinclairs from 1 o'clock onwards are doing this

will they be on after the gig, or not?

Dear Ticket Holder, June is here which means Oasis are about to take to the stage in Heaton Park, Manchester for their hugely anticipated homecoming concerts! Here are a few things you may need to enhance your enjoyment of the concert: Showtimes:Gates open - 2pmFree Peace - 5.05pm (Sat & Sun only)Twisted Wheel - 5.45pmThe Enemy - 6.30pmKasabian - 7.30pmOasis - 9.00pmShow ends - 11.00pm Weather:Please dress appropriately for the weather bearing in mind you will be standing in open parkland at 11pm at night. Transport:Please refer to the transport leaflet that came with your tickets or http://www.heatonpark.org.uk Buses. There are buses from Manchester City Centre nonstop direct to the concert. These buses go from LEVER STREET (near Piccadilly) and CORPORATION STREET (near Victoria) and return there at the end of the concert. Park and Ride. Follow the road signs. The parking area is not too far from the concert so at the end of the night you may be quicker to walk back rather than wait for the shuttle buses. Trams will run from Victoria in the City Centre and from Bury to both Heaton Park station and Bowker Vale station. At the end of the concert only Bowker Vale will be open. Parking is extremely limited around the Park. Do not park in residential streets as you will be towed away. There may be unofficial car parks operating - these will not be signed, lit or stewarded at the end of the night and we advise you to use common sense when deciding whether or not to park there. If you do please take careful note of their location as the stewards will be unable to help you find your car park at the end of the night. Drop Off and Pick Up Point If you are being picked up at the end of the concert please arrange to do this in the Sainsburys Car Park on Middleton Road. All Stewards know where this is and it will be signed for both concert goers from within the park and for drivers on the roads. You will not be able to park in the Sainsburys Car Park for the event as all cars left here will be towed away during the show to make room for the Pick Up Point. FOLLOW THE SIGNS AT THE START AND END OF THE CONCERT AS THEY WILL TAKE YOU TO WHERE YOU NEED TO GO VIA THE QUICKEST ROUTE. Prohibited ItemsDo not bring your own food or drink. Do not bring any glass whatsoever into Heaton Park. A full list of prohibited items is on the reverse of your ticket. You will be searched on entry. Welfare Tentpposite the stage at the rear of the arena is a welfare and information tent. Use this as a meeting point if you get separated from your friends. RespectPlease respect the people who live in the vicinity of the park on the way to and from the concert – keep the noise down, don't drop litter and only use the toilets provided. When you are in the concert please respect your fellow Oasis fans – don't throw any missiles or liquids, look after each other and if you feel too crowded move away from that area to the back of the arena. The arena is gently sloping so there are still great views from the back of the arena where you may feel safer. StewardsThere are hundreds of stewards on hand to help you. Please talk to them and ask if you need help. They are there to assist you. MedicalThere are hundreds of medical staff on site. There is a first aid tent beside the info/welfare tent. If in need of medical attention ask a steward to assist. Come BackHeaton Park is one of the finest parks in Europe. If this is your first visit make a point of coming back and enjoying all it has to offer. Further details on http://www.heatonpark.org.uk BE SENSIBLE, BE SAFE and ENJOY what will not only be THE BEST concerts of 2009 but will go down in Manchester Rock n Roll history forever!
