How is the story over when they have just sold out a wold tour with an estimated 10m applying for tickets and missing out.

They obviously got back for money, but not one single person could predict just how commercially successful it would be. Adidas could make merchandise quick enough it was selling out that quick!

The majority of people thought that the they would fall out and cancel the tour before they got to Heaton Park. You only have to see how Noel has gone from looking bewildered and nervous to absolutely loving having his brother back, and being in the biggest band in the world again!

IMO nothing will be decided about next year yet, They will regroup and if they want to do it they will. Them touring the world now is a million miles away from how they toured before they split up. They tour with their family's now and don't travel/stay with the same group of people for months.

Hopefully they go again next year, because this summer was class, I got to see them 5 times, and would love to do it all again!

Arena type bands haven't the pull to put all their shows on in the CTA.

A lot of smaller bands can't afford to tour now. Even Iron Maiden were complaining about it, so I suppose if you can get your fans to travel rather than you, it is an environmental disaster but it saves you money.

Noel will have made a lot more from this tour than he had to pay in his divorce. I mentioned on another post that this is not like touring like they used to do. They travel separate with their own family's and look like they enjoy being mates again now!

Yeah, I agree that it's been an issue - yet another Brexit benefit....not. Smaller bands for sure are struggling with it. But if Jamiroquai can do it, then so can Oasis. IMHO of course.

These gigs are so commercially attractive I’m sure the governments in the EU countries would provide the necessary tax breaks/incentives or whatever to facilitate Oasis playing in their cities?

Looking back it is odd that there were no European dates at all

You'd certainly think so mate. Maybe they'll include some European dates next year if they tour again

Who knows how much they’ve earned ? but it’s a lot of money judging from how happy they’ve both been, they never stopped smiling :) estimates have it at over a billion.

Madness Europe is so close the clamour for tickets in the UK was off the scale

Didnt think id ever see them again.
If thats the last time it was unreal and unexcepted.
Id love to see them one more time.

The real story about money is that Noel has, or is about to take, full control of the rights to the Oasis catalogue. This was happening in 2025.

The reunion and tour will have no doubt added a decent amount to the value if he decides to cash in. Talking a few hundred milly here.

Been at blackpool empress ballroom.
Maine rd.
Heaton park.
Those 3 more than any other gig ive been to.
The feeling i had at those 3 are worth more than any amount of money to me.
That band made me feel something that is above money.
HAving my arm around my daughter at heaton park when they sang you and i are gonna live forever.
Priceless x

Amazon MGM, now in control of the Bond franchise, thinks the brothers are the perfect fit. One source said: “Who better to soundtrack Bond than one of the greatest British bands? Liam’s swagger and Noel’s anthemic sound would be perfect.”

Noel has openly campaigned for the job before, even admitting he’s written a few Bond-inspired tracks already though he joked the titles would need tweaking. He’s also previously slammed the franchise for using non-British artists.

The new Bond film is currently in development with Denis Villeneuve directing and Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight writing the script. Knight said joining the franchise is a “bucket-list” moment and promised something “stronger and bolder”
