i'm not talking about the obvious ones like derby wins, promotion games or relegation escapes. i'm on about random games against nobody in particular when you just felt great about being a blue.

mine are - barnsley in the fa cup in '93,
blackpool at home in div 2 in '98,
leicester in the fa cup in '94 (ingebrigsten hat-trick).

I don't know why but i felt particuarly good after our 3-0 win at Wolves last season , and our 3-2 win at Blackpool this season ...... why these two wins stand out for me as having cheered me more than most others i haven't the faintest idea , i think i must have an odd fetish about scoring three goals away from home !

Oddly enough i was at Highbury back in 1975 , the last time we won at Arsenal .. and it's always the first away game that springs to mind ...... and it can be no coincidence that we scored three that day too!

When we lost at home to Arsenal midweek in the Prem under Royle at Maine Road. We knew we were being outclassed but the humour it was taken with, the banter with Seaman, the funny chants made me realise how glad I was to be blue, despite the numerous downs I had seen in my City supporting life.

the derby on the 50th munich annaversary when we were silent in the minutes silence when everyone hoped we wouldnt such as ragand the media...... proud of the fans and the team that day :D

Was that the same game Kernaghan scored a belter?

I was in blackpool the day we mullered Everton 5-0, a group of rags asked me if I knew what the score had been (had my white eidos shirt on), I didnt and was happy to learn.

That was a great day for many reasons :)

A few random ones from the memory bank:

Academica Coimbra, ECWC QF 2nd leg 69/70 - Tony Towers late late winner in extra time to take us into the Semis
Wolves League Cup 71/72, 3-1 down with about 12 mins left, won 4-3.
Bradford away, 87/88, a 4-2 win ending our longest run without an away league win (34 games I think)
Newcastle away, League Cup replay 94/95, we were totally unfancied for this one but nicked a 2-0 win thanks to goals from Uwe and Walsh.

please, try to avoid mentioning that name. i'll get the nightmares back.

Three away cup ties stick in the memory. QPR when Whitey and Vonky scored, with Gary Flitcroft collosal as a makeshift centre half.
Villa away and the absolute mayhem when Micah headed in the injury time equaliser.
Most of all, thrashing Ipswich 4-1 in the Keegan promotion season. They had relegated us the year before, one of their twat fans holding up a banner that said 'You are the weakest link. Goodbye'
Their twat of a manager, George Burley, and chairman had been sniping and slagging us off for years, ever since we beat them to automatic promotion under Joe Royle.
It was great to stick it back up them in their own back yard and the blues who made the long trek to Suffolk for an outrageous Sunday night kick off were brilliant.
