odd games that made you feel good.

i knew longsight would come up with a few classics.

another one was blackburn 3-2 at home just a week or two before the infamous defeat to tottenham in the fa cup quarters. blackburn went 2-0 up (i believe) before we came back to do them 3-2. at the end, it took a good 20 minutes to go through the exit tunnel at the left hand side of the kippax. i started a chant of "we're on the march with reidy's army...." in the tunnel. when we got out, my mate danny said it was so loud that he had a headache. a quality day all round.

Burnley away 6-1,even though i missed 4 fukn goals.(saw the replays).
Think Longsight is meaning the cup game,4-1 at Ipswich, yes,Berko's volley from a corner.
Shite hart lane 4-3 cup.(me & mrs TTT fell out that night,
as i was a tad boisterous, and she was trying to sleep)

The game in your 'location' was a great day out as well, Kev. Glorious sunshine and a 6-2 away win with Ali B as chief magician. And then pissing our sides laughing on the bus back to the station as two insanely drunk blues argued in all seriousness all the way about which one could get a date with the foxy blonde policewoman who was on board.
"Shush you dickhead, she'll hear us"
"I don't care. She's my bird, I bagsied her first."
"So? You're too pissed to even get it up. It would be a waste."
Even the policewoman was giggling, she loved it.

A leeds game at home a long time ago they bored us shitless passing square and back to keeper time wasting etc. Then Kevin Reeves scored a cracking volley in injury time. More recently the 3-4 in the cup at Spurs.

Three away cup ties stick in the memory. QPR when Whitey and Vonky scored, with Gary Flitcroft collosal as a makeshift centre half.
Villa away and the absolute mayhem when Micah headed in the injury time equaliser.
Most of all, thrashing Ipswich 4-1 in the Keegan promotion season. They had relegated us the year before, one of their twat fans holding up a banner that said 'You are the weakest link. Goodbye'
Their twat of a manager, George Burley, and chairman had been sniping and slagging us off for years, ever since we beat them to automatic promotion under Joe Royle.
It was great to stick it back up them in their own back yard and the blues who made the long trek to Suffolk for an outrageous Sunday night kick off were brilliant.

Fucking amazing day that was.

Then we somehow lost to Newcastle in the next round and to this day, I still can't see how we lost that game.

1-0 with only 10 men for most of the game as well after Dunney got sent off. We were brilliant in the second half and a good Newcastle side were relieved to hear the final whistle.
You must have been very young then, liam.

Wasntvatvthis game but watched it on tv when we beat spurs 5 2 at home about 15 years ago spurs had a very good side at the time

what?!? i was 15, pissed up, stoned and pissed up a bit more. at one point in the match i had double vision. at the night i was clubbing in 21's. i went back to my mate's and his sister was having a sleepover with about 8 girls only a year younger than us. there we were supping all these pissed up girls' grog and getting into them.

a memorable day to say the least.

Yep, I was 12 and still remember these games.

Another game which made me feel good was when we trounced Burnley at Turf Moor, the Goat was on fire that day and City fans were everywhere.

On a side note, we lost but I enjoyed the FA cup game with Leeds where we lost 5-2, we went ahead twice through Goater and Bishop...but Leeds outclassed us in the end.

Those were the days, might slam on the DVD of the Keegan season 'back to the premiership' later.

barnsley at home in the league cup, 7-1.

took the piss out the coal shuvlin yorkies all game, then managed to get in 42s after the game, pulled a geordie student girl who was a fair bit older than me. she took me back to hers in rusholme and took my virginity. i threw up whilst we were shagging, showered off and continued.

her house was just round the corner from maine road as well. buzzing!
