Presumably you're talking of the 1963-64 season when City scored 18 in 3 consecutive games - 6-1 (Rotherham), 8-1 (Scunthorpe) & 4-2 (Scunthorpe).

City scored 2 in the previous game (2-2 V Portsmouth) so it was 20 in 4.

In 1987 City scored 16 in 2 consecutive games (10-1 V Hudders & 6-2 V Plymouth).

In 1902-03 City did score 20 in 3 - 7-1 V B.PortVale, 4-0 V Small Heath & 9-0 V Gainsborough. Actually they scored 6 V Burnley in the previous League game and 5 V Burton in the following game.
I remember the Plymouth game. I was only 7 or 8 at the time. Can anyone remember the scorers? I recall Tony Adcock getting another (might have been our first).

The scorers were Hinchcliffe, Stewart, Lake and Adcock got 3 - one newspaper headlined it as 'Adcock's half hour' because of his 3 goals in a 30 min spell.

The reason I asked is because I thought he'd bagged another hat-trick in succession. Cheers, Gary!

When we beat wolves 2-0 at molineux in the 01/02 season, they were favourites for the title at the time and we outclassed them! shauny's vest said 'do the wright thing' or something!

So satisfying that one, I was 16 and listening it through the City website radio commentary, Wolves were so arrogant that season but we stuck it up them, convinced they would win the league yet they didn't even go up!

I was there at that match , we battered them

LC semi final second leg v Plymouth at Maine road early 74.

We'd drawn the first leg and won the second.

It was a rainy night match and Maine Road was going full tilt.

Walking down Hart Road as a 10 year old knowing that I was going to Wembley for the first time. The excitement was unbelievable.

Even the final v Wolves which we lost .... I can still picture vividly the scene.Block A upper tier standing tunnel end.Climbing the stairs then out onto the terrace for the first time.I can still see the sea of blue and white banners/scarves and hear the roar of the crowd.

The celebration when the one true god (Mr C Bell)equalised.Kop style crowd tumble and me taken down several steps (Mum finished up on the deck),Dad in full "dont panic Mr Mainwaring" mode.

Then the disappointment of the Richards goal and Rodney Marsh sulking off down the tunnel.

Remember thinking what a shit hole Wembley was compared to the photos.I thought the roof would be like our North Stand and not shitty corrugated plastic.

Wembley again in 76 ... tickets in the Newcastle end dead in line with Tuearts overhead kick.

Once a blue always a blue!

Most of all, thrashing Ipswich 4-1 in the Keegan promotion season. They had relegated us the year before, one of their twat fans holding up a banner that said 'You are the weakest link. Goodbye'
Their twat of a manager, George Burley, and chairman had been sniping and slagging us off for years, ever since we beat them to automatic promotion under Joe Royle.
It was great to stick it back up them in their own back yard and the blues who made the long trek to Suffolk for an outrageous Sunday night kick off were brilliant.

Fucking great away trip that was! Remember finding a pub just round the corner from the ground and singing songs about stella to a bloke who looked a bit like George best! Amazing how many games on this thread I was actually at!
Very happy memories!

We stopped at the Travelodge near the ground. A few years later, was told that apparently that serial killer Steven Wright used to pick up his victims on the road outside, which is a red light district
