Official - City end interest in Eto'o [merged]

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

I'm not sure if these comments have been posted before:

Barcelona president Joan Laporta wants striker Samuel Eto'o to end his career at the Nou Camp.

Eto'o, who has just a year left on his contract with the treble winners, has again been linked with a move to Manchester City and Inter Milan over the last few weeks but Laporta does not want to see the Cameroon international go anywhere - at least until his playing days are over.

"Eto'o finishes his contract next season and this means we must sit down for a talk. The will of the club is that he continues here for many years, always in compliance with our pay structure," Laporta said on his club's website.

"For me he is the best striker in the world. It would be nice if he finished his career at Barca."

it's obviously a translation from the spanish media, no idea where tho.

Eto'o is the best striker in the world could also be taken as a sales tactic for more money, considorring they were looking to offload him until after David Villa stated he wanted to head to Real Madrid.

"always in compliance with our wage structure", "it would be nice if he finished his career at Barca" IMO he's off somewhere, could be us.

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

iff barca wanted to keep him att all cost then he would have agreed a contract way before now

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

What is it with these top european clubs? they play everything out in the media, they give a different interview every other day contradicting what they said the day before. They are a fooking head wreck mind game playing bunch of cnuts with dodgy slimy fookers who run their clubs.

They must be hardwork to deal with.

Rant Over!

They are worse than Chelski, FFS, which has been hard lately.

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

Look since Villa decided to stay at Valencia Madrid are trying to get Ibra and now Barca wanna keep Eto'o...

Its simple really, if they don't get a replacement they are not going to deal with anyone... Who can they get thats better than Eto'o?
