Official - City end interest in Eto'o [merged]

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

Someone said that the scum could afford him????

This not meant to be 'anti scum' - although I hate them- but that is just sooooo plain wrong.

They could afford the transfer fee - they could just about afford half the salary = they are not involved anyway / anyhow

kippax,
figo to madrid

Barca really had no option at the time and I doubt they would repeat the same mistake it would cause uproar
it caused a uproar then= pigs head being thrown on the pitch ect

I know thats exactly what I mean they wouldn't want a repeat added to the fact that Eto'o (after already playing for Madrid) really dislikes Real Madrid this year he was caught on camera singing after Barca won the league Madrid Cabron Saluda al Campeon which basically means Madrid you bastards salute the champions. Trust me on this Sky Tot Eto'o is class

No, scum could not afford him. Have you not all been reading the papers, there is a credit crunch! And it is beginning to bite with some clubs. Liverpool and scum cannot afford £200,000 per week for anyone. Scum have released their most sale-able asset, do you really think for football reasons? This is a new world order where the one's with the money are City. The others have reputations and glory but not a pot to piss in compared to us. Eto's supposed wages are approximately £10 million a year. Before they sold tranny scum's transfer budget was reported at £20 mill, they can't afford him.
read the papers or not ,,utd could afford his wages if they wanted too.

?????? well scum fans do not think so - the club do not thnk so - no one else thinks so - so why do you????

Because they have just lost two of the clubs highest earners who collectivley would have eanrt more than Eto'o did.

Also they are set to recieve 80M.

I think it may have more to do with the salary structure they have in place - they would have some seriously pissed off players if they brought eto'o in on £200K a week.

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

Eto'o is without doubt one of the top five strikers in the world and has performed consistently well in one of the best leagues around. Not only is he consistent, but unlike some players he also seems to turn up in the big games. I also think he's probably the foreign striker most suited to the Premier League. I'm happy we're even being linked with a player like this, never mind actually being in with a chance of signing him.

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

Beyond his salary, the rags have said that they will no longer be paying for high priced players passed the age of 26, I believe, and I Eto'o, who is 28 is too old for them. Besides that, they have targeted Benzema this window, so the rags can be dropped from this conversation all together.
