tonight's news:

1. Barca offered Eto'o a two year deal on same money City offering - according to Spanish sauce.
2. Cook allegedly looked well pissed off getting into his car at Eastlands 7.30 tonight.

Point 1 is INCORRECT. They've allegedly offered him a contract identical to what he earns at present. He turned down a contract last week, again allegedly, which would've resulted in a pay cut. 'Sauce' is El Mundo Deportivo, Catalan Sports daily, unofficial mouthpiece of FC Barcelona.

Does not compute. How does an extra 2 years on his contract equate to his remarks about needing a 180 degree turn around from Barca.

Really struggling to believe they've offered a contract matching what we've put on the table.

What they have probably done, is offer him 2 years on his current wages, in order to force him to declare he wants to leave, thus forgoing the loyalty bonus.
