He would be attracted to united like Benzema, Ribery have been.... whats that they aren't getting them! United aren't the force they use to be so go and flap about United coming in elsewhere because last time I checked they had spend there £80mil on...... the free transfer of Owen!!!!!!!!!!

Get real, United won't allow themselves to be humiliated by us, they will not enter this race ffs

What a stupid thing to say!!! I ain't going to get into a debate about what united have won, who they are and what people may be delusional to believe they are not anymore. It's very straight forward.... if united come in and offer him a bi less than us, he'll pick them. I hope i'm wrong, but I doubt it cos like I said before, as much as I hate to admit it...Taggart never gets it wrong.

I know what u said is stupid and last time I checked United don't spend money on players over a certain age due to resale value, hence why Owen happened as it was a free transfer

Yawn. Not in the mood for tit for tat rowing with someone who has blue blinkers on. Face it, if they come in, (which I pray they don't), he will go to them, and another thing....if you think Owen is their last piece of business, you are even more deluded than I thought.

its not a stupid thing taylors said, he's just stating that where as 2 or even 1 year ago united only had to click there fingers and 90% of players were there like a shot, now they seem to look elsewhere thats not saying united aren't a force anymore . . . . coarse they are but everything is on a bit more of an even playing field now

in a sense I have to agree, it's stupid to underestimate United. We can be encouraged by what appears to be their dwindling fortunes but it does us no favours to count our chickens before they've hatched and go writing them off, in any respect.

And for your info I haven't questioned united success I just feel with Fergie likely to leave soon and the fact they aren;t financially as stable anymore that they aren't quite the same force anymore!
I'm not saying they couldn't get Eto'o just doubt it very much, jesus

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

Taylor... How many times has Fergie said he will bot sign a player, and he does. ''Not going to sign a player in January'' Signs Tosic and Llajic. ''Not going to sign a player over 26''- signs Owen. The only way out for United is Samuel Eto'o because he is available. I think it's common sense that they will come in for him, because that's the last superstar on the list, and i think Fergie might take gamble with this one. Hope i am wrong though.

It's stupid as far as believing that, just cos the tranny has gone, that united's era is over. Just ask Liverpool....they ALWAYS win one way or another, and we ain't gonna stop that overnight. Pro rata, we have to wait 20 years and do what they did before people will instantly come to us over them and that, my friend, is what i'm trying to say.

How are they not the same force. They have just won the league for the 3rd time running. Got into a champs league final and won the carling cup.

Agree, i think he'd want to play in the champions league. If he goes to utd, that would be the worst thing ever.
At the end of the day, Reputation does NOT pay transfer fees or pay wages, money does and the signs are that United don't have that! IMO he's more likely to stay at Barca or go to Inter than go to United, as he IS money motivated.
