Here i am again bringing you more news in the form of translations from john over on mancityfans this time.

"Although he is on holiday, Samuel Eto'o is in permanent contact with Jose Maria Mesalles so as to be informed of the latest news about his future and know first hand how the negotiations are panning out. The Cameroon frontman is spending a few days in the US, New York to be precise, in the expectation of finally having confirmed which will be his destination City when the negotiations end and the football returns

"Aunque se encuentra de vacaciones, Samuel Eto’o se mantiene en contacto permanente con José María Mesalles para estar informado de las últimas noticias en torno a su futuro y saber de primera mano cómo se resuelven las negociaciones. El delantero camerunés está pasando unos días en Estados Unidos, en concreto en Nueva York, a la espera de que finalmente le confirmen cuál será su ciudad de destino cuando finalice las vacaciones y regrese a la práctica del fútbol"

Woo hoo.

Cue three ETIHAD 747s of manchester city shirt wearing tourists given free fights to New York for the weekend.

He would be attracted to united like Benzema, Ribery have been.... whats that they aren't getting them! United aren't the force they use to be so go and flap about United coming in elsewhere because last time I checked they had spend there £80mil on...... the free transfer of Owen!!!!!!!!!!

Get real, United won't allow themselves to be humiliated by us, they will not enter this race ffs

What a stupid thing to say!!! I ain't going to get into a debate about what united have won, who they are and what people may be delusional to believe they are not anymore. It's very straight forward.... if united come in and offer him a bi less than us, he'll pick them. I hope i'm wrong, but I doubt it cos like I said before, as much as I hate to admit it...Taggart never gets it wrong.

Is it really about money? Every footballer at this minute would go to United. Might be a different case in 3/4 years. I just think if United came in, with quite good wages (100-120k a week) he will go to United. Hope your right and i hope he is ALL about the money.
tranny, tevez left! so far benzema and ribery have said no to them so not every footballer will go to them at this moment! and i do think eto'o is money oriantated, so hopefully that works for us, dont get me wrong i too worry about the shite comin in 4 him, and i hope that maybe we got some kind of agreement that he's ours if he leaves . . . . type thing
Tranny has left for a bigger club. Benzema has joined that bigger club and Ribery wants to go to Spain. How is that the same as comparing us and Utd.

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

Sorry, but I am not the one basing the whole Eto'o to Rags arguement on the unfounded claims of a Rag journalist.

Maybe, but if it was a chance, at that time, of the Uzbeki team or United on a little less money, he would have gone to united 10 times out of 10.

Citizens1976 - thats what i'm saying. He would pick them over us each and every day of the week.
Agree. I hope we can do this deal quickly.

I know what u said is stupid and last time I checked United don't spend money on players over a certain age due to resale value, hence why Owen happened as it was a free transfer

in a sense I have to agree, it's stupid to underestimate United. We can be encouraged by what appears to be their dwindling fortunes but it does us no favours to count our chickens before they've hatched and go writing them off, in any respect.

Agree, i think he'd want to play in the champions league. If he goes to utd, that would be the worst thing ever.
