Official Kaiser Chiefs vs Mcfc (Vodacom Final)

I remember when Macheda scored the winner for United against Villa and the media was saying he's the next big thing and people on here saying that he hasn't done anything, he's only scored one goal big deal but if Weiss did the same everyone would be on their knees worshiping him. I'll only comment on how good a player someone is until they have played a good few FULL games.

Given- 7
Zab- 5
Ben Haim- 6
Onouha- 7
Bridge- 7
De Jong- 6
Barry- 8
SWP- 4
Bellamy- 4
Adebayor- 5
Weiss- 5.5
Robinho- 5

I'd rather lose 3-2 than a ratty 1-0. Not good IMO but Barry, Onouha and Bridge were the big positives.

Weiss, Given, Ned and Barry are the only ones to come out of this okay. Adebayor is worth 2.5 million not 25 million FFS!
You're joking right?

He's had a very good game today, playing with shite around him.

Barry and De Jong looked awesome together.

I don't know what everyone is getting their knickers in a twist about, you can see with a couple of defenders and a bit more time to click that we will be a very, very good team this season

Some sense amongst the flappers and doom junkies.

barry, addy, and bridge looked good, the rest pretty average , but a good work out. on to bigger and better things now keep the faith fellas

can I just say...GET A FUCKING GRIP PEOPLE man ushited lost this last year and they only went and won the league and got into the champs league final...it means nothing..jesus and for the people slagging off ade give him some time fucking hell

Did Manchester United play near enough a full squad?

We had Shay Given - Richard Dunne - Nedum Onuoha - Wayne Bridge - Gareth Barry - SWP - Petrov - Adebayor on from the start my guess is that Manchester United used Wellbeck - Possabon and co.

the team are gelling, getting used to each other...it was their cup final we didnt really try our hearts out..just calm it kermit

Well whoops

They looked like they had won the world cup the way they celebrated

As for our performances, some good, some bad, Obviously treating it as a fitness exercise due to the heart monitoring bands on the players when they took the shirts off.

Adebayor made a good impression, lead line well and didn't get any support from Bellamy what so ever. Think his effort level was up there for his first game of preseason and so think he could be a big big player for us.
De Jong and Barry look a really good partnership in the centre of midfield, and with Ireland playing just ahead of them then I am not worried that we could match most midfields

The defence is an obvious area of concern and needs to be addressed asap, Dunne is looking very lean, shame that he had to go off so early on. Didn't think TBH did anything too bad but definately not strong enough for anymore than a squad role.
