i think in pre season friendlys, the focus is more on the individual than the team.
it's an opportunity for players to gauge their fitness levels, see how they're feeling, easing their way back into the swing of things.
the next two or three weeks we can start working out team tactics, formations etc .... but right now (and in SA in particular) it was all about the individual.
