Official Manchester City v Newcastle United thread

The game is largely going to depend on Stevie Ireland.

He's been out since Hull, almost an entire month. He'll be rested, but that is quite a long layoff. Lets hope he has a monster game.

How many top teams play with 2 defensive midfielders in their line up? Whats the point? That line up is like having 6 defenders.

My Team would read

Hart

Richards
Kompany
Onuoha
Bridge

Wright Phillips (C)
Zabaletta
Knock off Nigel
Elano
Robinho

Sturridge

Subs - Bellamy Kasper Garrido Ireland TBH Jo Fernandes

I would put Zab at right back and De Jong in DM. CB would be either Onuoha or Richards.

Just went to ads before I could see the team but I think he's playing Zab alongside De Jong in the middle

What a joke Elano has been dropped. Piss take, Ireland shouldn't expect to walk back in to the team.
