The reason he brought on a second striker is because he saw that our back 4 + Kompany were relatively fine and Elano hardly did any defensive work anymore.

Well deserved 3 points. So many positives to take from today, Boj is looking VERY good already... Evans looked very good too, great first touch.

Felt like we could have/ should have won this 5:0 really looking at the clear chances we had. Two terrific saves by Friedel in the 2nd half.

Unfortunately De Jong came off injured and that is probably really bad news for us, he has been immense in the first half, giving so much protection to the back four.

Really glad we picked up all 3 points today... just a little bit gutted we didn't beat West Ham on the weekend or at least get a point there, we could be 7th now closing in on Everton.

Quite frankly it amazes me how stupid and ignorant so many of the posters are on here. No way in hell will we beat Aston Villa tonight. With an in-form Bellamy and a motivated Robinho, we might have knicked a result but, without them, we have no chance. Man for man in every single position on the park (except goalie), they are much better than us. If Given plays a blinder, we may keep the score down to 0-1 but am expecting much worse.
