Shay Givens first save tonight was 70 mins....they had no shots on or off target the whole first half.

Perfect home performance really. Dominated against the best 'away' team in the league. Should really have been 3 up by half time, they should have been down to ten.
Weathered their predictable second half surge without Given having to do much apart from one decent save.
Killed the game off on the counter attack. Slowly but surely it's coming together. Hughes needs time and we all need to get behind the team.
Since the pompey game we have improved a lot. I thought the reaction from the West Ham game was a bit over the top. We are starting to look pretty solid. Just think we have Petrov, Bojinov, Johnson, Robinho, Bellamy, De Jong, Kompany, Richards all to come back to full fitness. We're only going to get better. Micah should eventually get back to his old self...just like Dunne seems to be doing. De Jong will integrate properly once he has more games and improves his fitness. Bojinov is looking sharp and smart on the ball. I'm exciting about him coming back. Petrov and Johnson aren't too far away. Same goes for Studge. He's putting together quite a squad. The future is blue.

Don't think De Jong fully recovered fromwhen he kicked the bottom of Petrov's high foot just before the break. They probably gave him a couple of minutes at the start of the second to see if he could run it off. It looked an innocuous one, but sometimes these can be the problem injuries.
