Official: Raheem Sterling Signs On 5 Year Deal

Great signing one to set the paces racing. Despite not being quite the finished article alongside the likes of Silva, Aguero, Toure he will flourish.

Interview is up now.

Class form the club and the lad making a huge point of thanking liverpool and its managers pmsl.

take the piss City :-)

My message to Raheem Sterling:

I will support you because you will be wearing a Manchester City shirt but if you ever, ever disrespect that shirt, my team or our fans the way you have disrespected Liverpool please be aware that I will then withdraw any support for you. Start to grow up lad, do not behave like a spoilt brat any more and tell your agent that you have now joined the best team in the land and he has to keep quiet. OK? All right?? Then welcome to Manchester.

Sometimes we have to treat them mean to keep them keen and on the ball!!

This is the type of shit people laugh at RAWK for.

Will he earn lots of money? Yes.

Chances of winning trophies? Yes (More English players have picked up winners medals at City in the last five years than any other club.)

Champions league football? Yes

Will he be adored by the fans? Yes.

Will he play with better players? Yes

He created 163 chances over the past 3 seasons, no U21 player in Europe's top five leagues has more. Did we pay too much? Yes, but who cares, Sheikh Mansour certainly won't lose any sleep, he's worth something like £16bn. Do you think he cares that Joe from Bolton thinks City are overpaying. He's probably worth around 30-35 million but there's always gonna be an English premium for not only the best 20 year old in the premier league but maybe even the world, can't think of one better. Aguero will be like Suarez was to Sterling, they'll light it up with Silva feeding them. Liverpool fans are so salty, they'll say he wasn't one of their best players but the stats don't lie. People say shit like "he'll keep the bench warm", so we smashed our own transfer record to stick him on the bench, not a chance.

some nice words from Phil Thompson in the mirror:
Raheem Sterling failed to “deliver” for Liverpool and won’t be missed at Anfield.

That is the damning verdict of Anfield legend Phil Thompson who reckons fans will be glad to see the back of the youngster following his £49million move to Manchester City.

And the European Cup-winning captain contrasted the reaction with the fans’ disappointment when Luis Suarez left and says Sterling is not in the same league as the Uruguayan.

“He’s certainly a good player, but he’s not a great player and that’s why you won’t find too many Liverpool fans shedding any tears for him,” said Thompson.

“Last season wasn’t a great season for him. The one before that he did well with Suarez. But last year we were looking for a lot from him, but he didn’t deliver.

“Luis Suarez is world class, but Sterling is nowhere near Suarez’s capabilities, although he’s still a very good player.

Thompson admitted Liverpool are a selling club after cashing in on Sterling and Suarez in successive summers.

“Liverpool have become a bit of a selling club now - you can’t get away from that,” he said.

“But I hope we are still a big draw and it was nice to see Nathaniel Clyne and James Milner sign, and Milner did have options to go elsewhere.”

“City are paying for potential. Raheem’s had 13 or 14 assists in the three years and has scored something like 18 league goals. You need a little bit more than that
