Find it amazing that there are so many of you having problems when mine is working absolutely perfectly.
 
may be just coincidence but I just fired up google chrome and videos played ok and then went back to IE and the vids worked again after having the black screen.
 
I just watched the extended Liverpool highlights on the OS and for the first time in weeks it played perfectly well and looked brilliant, even in full screen mode.

I have always used Firefox and as I mentioned earlier, last season's videos were still working fine. Now it seems that it's all good.

[EDIT] I also just watched the Southampton highlights which would not work properly for me before. All good now.
 
i was having problems, and this fixed it for me.

right click on the video, click settings, click screen icon, uncheck hardware acceleration
 
Better for me in firefox than chrome, but both heaps better than a couple of weeks ago. Hurray!
