(Johnson and Milner given lots of freedom to cut inside and switch flanks as required)

Subs: Given, Zabaleta, Boyata, Vieira, SWP, Silva, Adebayor

Another clean sheet please City.... 0-2: Tevez, Milner.

I think a good solid start is essential. last year we lost an early goal and struggled to get back into it. micah and shaun struggled badly that day, I imagine only Micah will start but it is imperative he steps his game up, and keeps it simple and clean in possession. stop the hunchback of notre dam impressions and keep your head up so you can see what's going on!

if we can stay solid and find our passing rhythm in the first ten, fifteen minutes, I would hope for a win. this would make our first three league results better than the corresponding games last year. another clean sheet would be great.

2-0 please city!

no way id start silva away to sunderland, guy needs time to settle in,would be amazed if mancini changes the team that beat liverpool
Yeah I agree, Bruce's tactics will, no doubt, come straight out of the Tony Pullis "CLOGG 'EM SHIT-LESS" coaching manual, meaning Silva will have to miss out again (unfortunately)

No Brainer for me, same team (and subs) that played against the dippers, last Monday night

Hart, Richards, Toure Kolo, Kompany, Lescott; Toure Yaya, DeJong, Milner, Barry, A Johnson, Tevez.
Subs:
Given, Wright-Phillips, Silva, Adebayor, Vieira, Jo, Zabaleta.

Result 1-1 (Milner-37) - (Bent-73)

Sorry Jimma, just gut instinct, hope you're right though mate,

Lol at all the people who'd drop de Jong after his performances against 'pool and Timi! First name on the team sheet ATM. I'd go for the same team against Liverpool, keep some consistency.
This.
We bought big nige for exactly this type of game .

If Shay is really going to Fulham (see Transfer thread), does that mean that Taylor will be on the bench? God help us. He may be a nice lad but is simply not good enough for City right now.

we need to play attacking football for this game, so de jong is really not needed. bring de jong in after were 3-0 up

............adebayor
..tevez..................aj
...............silva
........milner.......yaya
lescott..kompany..kolo..micah
................hart

Can't see johnson starting with a fractured cheekbone. That gives us silva on for him which should be fine if we grab an early goal.
As much as I don't want much change from the liverpool game I wouldn't mind seeing Ade in the lineup too.
Really want him to be happy and stay, he's got quick feet for such a big guy.

Hart
Micah, kolo, kompany, lescott
Dejong, yaya, barry

And

Tevez, ade, milner

Or

Silva, tevez, milner.

A target man against these won't be a bad thing at all imo.

No way. Barry and NDJ will play for sure - that team above would get kicked out of the game.
