Hello all. I live in the U.A.E and am a national of the country. I will be going to the game tomorrow to support my national side - to little effect really - and whilst I have no particular love of Man City, whilst browsing through their official website, I noticed a pretty big mistake had been made. I don't seem to be able to start a thread so I thought this was the best place to post it.
<a class="postlink" href="http://www.mcfc.co.uk/News/Club-news/2009/November/UAE-game-to-streamed-live" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.mcfc.co.uk/News/Club-news/20 ... eamed-live</a>
It says over there that the game is to be played at the Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium. This is completely wrong and a simple mistake to make. The game is actually being played at Zayed Sports City. It says so on my ticket and it says so here as well:
<a class="postlink" href="http://www.thenational.ae/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20091110/NATIONAL/711099827/1043" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.thenational.ae/apps/pbcs.dll ... 99827/1043</a>
Didn't really know if the mistake will make any difference at all but I do know that about 300 City fans are flying to the game and I would be a bit pissed off if it was me and I went to the wrong stadium. There has even been some confusion locally as to where the game is being held. I didn't really see the point in emailing the club, with the game tomorrow, it'd be unlikely that they get it in time. I google City forums and this comes up so I figure this is the biggest one on the net and there's bound to be someone on here who can do something about it?
On a side note, I think there's a very good chance that there will be more United supporters there tomorrow than City fans. I know quite a few friends going in full United kit just to wind some people up.
