Fuck me these officials are crap. It really is time for fucking technology to be used for offsides.
That's harsh. He was a milimeter onside instead of a milimeter offside, you can't blame a linesman for getting that wrong, especially wth the players heading in different directions. It's a wrong call, but it's not a bad call
its a bad call if its wrong call... wrong call is always disaster.
No it isn't. Being a linesman is a nigh on impossible task, so if it's close as that then it's pure luck. It's all well and good getting a freeze frame replay and saying he's obviously 2cm onside, but in real time that would of been impossible to tell. A bad call is a mistake that shouldn't be made, which that wasn't. People are too harsh on linesman

This is a great game so far. Both teams going for it so far.

That was a good tackle. I don't care if he took the man, you can't play this game playing in fear.

why no 5th officials? for the refs from countries with poor leagues, having the top European referees with them as 5th officials would really support them.

Unless Clattenburg was one of the mentors.

Took it off his head! Should be one nil. Both teams have absolutely shocking lack of understanding of confidence at the back

Of course you can blame them for getting it wrong. The law doesn't say if it's only a few inches onside the linesman is allowed to rule the goal offside. It was a brilliant goal and Mexico have been robbed. If the linesman are unable to tell then we should use technology like every other sport in the world does. It would have literally taken 3 seconds to check and then the goal would have stood. So far football's biggest technological advancement is a goal line check and a bloody vanishing spray. It's time the sport got with the times.
I agree about technology regarding offside plays. I do think, though, the goal-line tech and the vanishing spray are good things.
