Oddly I have a Mexican announcer defending the last offside call saying it was offside once the ball was deflected. Weird.

I have a new drinking game for this match:

Drink every time...

Eto'o walks back from an attack and gets caught offside.

Marquez squanders his own or a teammate's scoring opportunity.

A Cameroon player sprints 50 yards and puts a shot into row Z.

An perfectly good goal is ruled offside.

Pissed already

Indeed, between the Eto'o and Offside goal rules, they would be pumping your stomach right now.

Situations like that really do make it criminal that there's no replay technology.

Even though, even if that were the case, the replay showed him to be onside for the entire play.

Oh I agree with you completely. I'm just boggled at a Mexican announcer defending that call.

now that is a bollocks call, Colombian refs, I mean ffs, why aren't the refs from countries with respectable leagues, and why is there not a FIFA referee exchange program so that refs can experience reffing in different countries, in different leagues and they can all then be of a similar standard, it's easy to have UEFA training camps and meetings etc. but until they get that match experience it's not enough, and at the moment they are being simply bobbins, and it's ruining the games.

If I had a betting account I'd stick some money on Cameroon to score first as you can tell that will happen to really rub it in.

It makes this sport a complete farce, doesn't it? Football's officiated like it's still 1880.
