Oh so clear now that Bluemoon is Pro Hughes.

I don't see how people can think that it's fair to sack manager at this point just because there might be managers out there that might be better based on reputation. If you apply this to players we might as well sack Dunne and buy someone like Lescott who might be better. Ouh wait, we did that and jury is still out for him. There's no guarantee that the next manager would have a better record especially since Hughes' isnt that bad. He has not been great, but it's not something to give a manager a sack for. Who do you think we are? Just because we have more money than everyone else we should go sacking managers and players left and right. Hughes might show SIGNS that he isnt capable but until he proves that he isnt, until we fail our goals, im pro-hughes. I think we should stick with players and managers as long as we are sure that they wont cut it. How can someone be sure about Hughes at this point (in good or bad) is beyond me.

Wrote an open letter to Khaldoon on bluemoon that was anti Hughes, and what happend?

Its gets moved and buried into an obscure thread on Hughes outers on page 11.

The bias is so thick in here you can cut it with a knife.

Forget about free speech or debate on bluemoon. Here its George Bush style: You're either with us or against us.

And why would we want it any other way?

What???

Are you drunk? Mark Hughes has been "the best for a long long time".???????!?!??!?

He's unproven at best, an incompetent idiot at worst, and no way on the planet could he be described as "the best".

Get a grip.

He MAY turn out to be a great manager. (Although he shows precious little sign that this may be the case). He MAY turn out to be a complete tit. Why risk it, when we could potentially bag someone like Hiddink? This blind support for Hughes at all costs is complete and utter madness.

The best manager we have had for ages, not the best in the world.

That is what a another poster was getting at also, so he is the best manager we have had since Reid (2 5th place finishes).

Based on what exactly ? League position ? Because Sven managed to finish a place higher than Hughes did last season, and Hughes had made additions to the squad Sven had.

Actually, he got rid of almost everything Sven had bought and had to start again as they were a bunch of lazy fuckwits

Maybe if we did get Sven back in we could aspire to sign such footballing greats as Michael Ball and Benjani

And 12 games in Sven had more points and higher league place than Hughes has had despite being 2 seasons in?

I can't argue with your points.

In the same way that you can't argue that those lazy & talentless fuckwits still managed to finish higher in the league than we did last season ;-)

In a totally different set of circumstances yes.

But you are right, that team was miles better than this one, what a waste of money

That's the point really isn't it? That group of players was nowhere near as good as we had last season. I'm just pointing out the fact that we finished higher in the league :-)

Really ? I could have sworn that Petrov, Elano, Benjani, Fernandes, Bojinov and Garrido were all here last season ? That's the majority of the signings. Hughes got rid of Bianchi and Corluka (which based on the form of our current right backs was probably a mistake).

Im not actually saying that Sven was the better manager, Im just wondering how he came to that conclusion. Even the Keegan / Pearce season of 04/05 had us finish 8th.
