Me too, had to read it a few times, before realizing what it was about. I've seen it in some correspondence, younger and socially conscious people are using it more and more. Just follow how people prefer to be addressed and you will be appreciated. Anything to annoy pricks like Jordan Peterson and Piers Morgan is a good thing in my books.
