They opened the place up just for me Boxing Day 98 and this is my daughter Sarah ..now 24 and blue.
I shudder now thinking back to standing on that beam on the back wall with the very large spikes sticking in to my shoestrue. I imagine a lot of us have stood/sat in many places on the Kippax.
Ive sat on the front wall, the wall top to bottom next to Gene Kelly, Piccadilly Radio tunnel and tunnel opposite the Main Stand police box. Stood 6 foot up on the very back under the roof, and up the main support girders. Never did the floodlights though.
On the white wall,near to where it becomes black, is where I watched most of my early City games from as a ten year old in 1952/53 season. My uncle and his mate used to stand behind on the first step of the terrace.
