I have to be honest it's why I look at any old pictures of the kippax mid 70s on I would live to see myself from back then, we always stood top of the tunnel next to away fans handful of Knutsford blues.

I was in the Social club at the time, watching my mate win the autographed match ball from Bernard Manning. At the time I was around 15 stone! Does that count?
I was on training course in London that month, and I said on the Friday that if we lost, I would plait sawdust. Thanks to Buzzer, it didn't happen, but it was close. There was a bag of sawdust on my desk when I got in, though!

we used to stand in windy corner right up against the north stand wall, from that angle we could see how full each stand was every game and make a decent guess at the (real) crowd
