Old Maine Road photos thread

Paul Sinha explained on the Chase tonight how Maine Road got its name.

The first US State to enact a prohibition law was Maine, and there was a huge temperance movement in Manchester at the time. So they named the road after the US State.

Bloody interesting fact that I was never aware of.
 
That’s what I thought but it looks too empty and the fans look too young for that area. My mind must be playing tricks.
Above that walkway there was a small gap where kids used to stand every match, then behind that the crazy corner or whatever it was called.
If I got there late and couldn't get a spot I was in trouble because I'd struggle to see and get trampled on, which happened a couple of times.
