Old Maine Road photos thread

Apparently they are named on a Moss Side Facebook page. Can’t find it though.
yeah ......A few I know named them.....but reckon they're reds....some from Wythenshawe.

Think I put a link on that last photo or after it.

30 of Iain’s images are being exhibited at the National Football Museum in Manchester as ‘A City United’. The display is likely to be in place until the end of January 2024. Hope some of you can make it.
Catch them at the entrance! If you are in Manchester it’s really worth a visit.

That was almost my spot, just about 15 yards to the right.

I'd pay good money to stand there just one more time to watch us rather than being up in SS3.

Long shot - is anyone in possession of a photo of the City fans celebrating at the final whistle from the last derby at Maine Road? I believe it was Homes of Football/Stuart Roy Clarke's photo. My Dad was in it & I haven't been able to find it since seeing it years ago.

From memory City were losing 1-0 until relatively late in the game.

Derek Parlane got injured so our only option was substitute Nicky Reid who promptly scored the winning goal in the last minute, after Tolmie's shot had looped onto the crossbar, with the goalkeeper on his back from the previous save, and the ball rebounding straight into Reid's path.
