The Limit in Sheffield?
Went in there loads of times when I was at Sheff Poly. Fuckin death trap. Saw the Human League play a 'secret gig' there just before starting a world tour when they were one of the biggest bands in the world.. probably around 87. Reckon the Limit was knocked down around 88/89?

I was too young at the time but my Dad used to go in the Bees Knees on Oldham rd In the 70's.
It was at the bottom of Broadway in Failsworth.

Adam and Eves, Chorlton (Great to get in at 13 years of age)
Swinging Sporran (Still going with it's monthly 'Nyte Heet' Glam/Metal/Classic Rock nights)
Both these plus 'The Lamplight' in Chorlton for blues and RnB (Rhythm and Blues for you youngsters)
Do you remember the doorman / owner at the Swinging Sporran, Costa was his name I think, who opened a chippy / kebab shop opposite the Lamplight on Barlow Moor Road. His 2 daughters worked there as well.
