Oldham Athletic thread

Was with a BIFFO mate last Thursday on the piss and a few Blues and rags too from work. BIFFO was going on and on about how he laughed his bollocks off at the AM game and was disappointed that we’d gone through and hadn’t suffered more injuries. Let him waffle on for a while, he even got a few City Bingoisms in, organic growth was one that really amused me, said it was wrong that City had bought Alvarez because European teams shouldn’t be able to bring in young talent from South America.
Eventually I just said that I really hoped Oldham are relegated and that they go the same way as Bury & his thoughts on Lionel Messi’s career so far. I finished my pint and bid him goodnight. Haven’t heard from him since. The moment Owdum are relegated he’s hearing from me alright!
 
Christ, I never knew that Oldham fans hated us that much.
 
i love the clubs like oldham and bury all going back to their roots of none league football.
its so nice of them to give the fans of them great towns what they deserve ? well done oldham

maybe they will now go and watch them instead of sitting watching city or united on skysports
 
I just feel a bit sorry for em.... They were a small but nice club back in the 80's, when we were shit,and them fans I think (the real and loyal) they don't hate us... Maybe I am wrong but that's what I remember from those days...
 
Abandoned. Assume this means they are gone.

No love for Oldham, can’t forget how they delighted in our demise but I do have a few Latic mates who I do feel for. There but for the grace and all that…

Symptomatic of the decline of the town as a whole though. Used to be a really vibrant, bustling town. It’s a ghost town now.
