Oldham Athletic thread

Boundary Avenue, Royle Crescent and Frankie Bunn Way. Names of the new streets.

Fair point.
But Oldham are a local team who have a strong connection with City (Jim Cassell, Joe Royle, Roger Palmer moving there etc.).
Think it's a crying shame if Oldham get relegated out of the Football League at the expense of, for example, Stevenage Borough.
It would be another example of the Northern clubs (e.g. Workington, Bradford Park Avenue) struggling to survive, at the expense of the more affluent newcomers from the South e.g. Sutton United, Crawley Town etc.
Have been to Boundary Park on many occasions, have had some enjoyable, but wet and freezing times there...
Bradford Park Avenue didn’t survive due to there fan base not giving a toss about :( but they somehow blame City for that ?????
And that continued hatred from I say a few hundred is the reason they will never get back into the league ............time and time again I have been to see them play and the City hatred is plain backwards seeing as we ain’t played them in a competitive game for over 53 years .......... still if it makes em happy .......... as for Oldham will be gutted if they go would rather have Stevenage the distance etc go down than them lot

Just as it was great to see those Cunty Twatters get relegated again and again, I have absolutely no sorrow seeing the muffin eating Yonners go down n’all.

Youre not laughing at City anymore are you? Enjoy your trip to Alty.

It’s a barm!

I agree it's better to have northern teams in the league (except Salford) but Workington and BPA, along with other northern clubs such as Southport and Barrow (amongst others) lost their league status due to the ridiculous re-election system used at the time. If Oldham go it will be because they finish in the bottom two and deserve to go.
