A few years ago, I seem to recall a proposal that Bury, Rochdale and Oldham merge and call the new club Manchester North End.

If there was such an idea, it was shouted down by the supporters of the three clubs.

However, considering their respective current financial situations, maybe it wouldn’t be such a bad idea, and include Bolton as well.

Why would we need to be part of it?

We're better supported than all three of them put together.

Yer can buy all sorts with no money. Remember the Fannie Mae 'n Freddie Mac credit crisis? Wasn't that based on lending people money who had no method of paying back?

In a liquidation scenario the ground is the only thing worth money. Someone would have to put the money in to do it, its likely part of a deal where one creditor who is owed x will put a further x in and end up owning the ground or getting a bit more back. We will have to see.
