He’s such a likeable guy, and there’s little doubt in my mind that he’s the best left back at the club, even though he’s not naturally a left back.

He is the most technically capable full back at the club. I dread to think where we would be now, if we had sold him in the summer for a paltry £16m.

Lovely bloke and he's really stepped up to help us out with left-back issues over the last 12 months. However, I fear at least one of his lack of pace, strength and height could cause him to be exploited against better teams, if they chose to target it. Additionally, he can be quite naive, Chelsea were looking for free kicks in our half yesterday and he often obliged in giving them the contact they were looking for to hit the deck. Don't get me wrong, he's a great back up, but I'd be worried if we were to move forward with him as our first choice left back.

I don’t think he will ever go into the season as 1st choice LB but unless someone is ready to offer us serious money for him (£40m+), I think we would be stupid to sell him.

Really growing on me this kid!

I wouldn't have batted an eyelid if we'd sold him last Summer but he's been essential for the squad this season. Showed a great attitude that he wanted to be part of this great squad and didn't just go for a starting place somewhere in a lesser league or at a lesser team and seems to be developing well as a player too. He's also getting more physical as a player, must be working in the gym a fair bit too.

Was very fortunate to stay in the pitch when he brought down Kante though. He didn’t mean it, but he clearly tripped him when he would have been through on goal.
