Not sure what Zinchenko is playing at , great going forward but he was awful in his defending today , Dinho covered for him a few times and the cheap free kicks he gives away , when he must be told pre-match not to give away dead ball situations. Luckily Neverton didnt score from the half a dozen free headers they had in the six yard box , mainly due to Ederson

Very poor... We’re struggling at the back and at set pieces and he’s giving away stupid free kicks. Daft.

what's great in his forward play though? Had one, solid at best, cross and the rest is his usual pass to the nearest player backward. He offers absolutely nothing in front and close to nothing at back.

True , but he is quick and effective on the ball and generally doesnt give the ball away , the perfect Pep type of player and he links well with Raheem , but he will never be a top class defender

The issue is now he isn't guaranteed a starting berth,and it is having an effect on his performances now Mendy being back,and Angelino waiting in the wings,he has done a fantastic job though filling in,nobody can argue with that,but time to become a sub for a bit

Its bizarre that we even play him now that we have 2 left backs available. Yes Mendy need managing but there is Angelino who has done OK in few apps so far and actually is left back.

I can't get on the kids back,he is exposed without eric,it's down to pep to sort out that left side,i think he is playing because he is used to the system,benny should be fit soon but he might not stay fit,angel still training,we have to keep playing him but pep has to help him out

In some ways it's hard to feel sorry for PL footballers as to a man they earn huge amounts of money but currently Zinchenko reminds you how unforgiving football can be.

Last season he plugged a huge gap we had at left back and he absolutely earned his medals 100%. He certainly isn't a good enough left back for us currently and probably he isn't good enough in his natural wing back position either (plus we don't play with wing backs). It's likely he will be moved on but hopefully he will have a good career elsewhere after leaving us with a raft of medals.

Love the lad, but I’ll admit he wasn’t great today. Them two fouls in the corner he committed were fucking infuriating. One of my pet hates, conceding needless free kicks in dangerous positions.

Even more so when it was clear that corners and free kicks were causing us problems! Brainless those fouls today. Just stand them up. Going nowhere.
